Shock! No exchange today despite being told it would happen. Been told the first person in the chain hasn’t transferred their deposit - we were told they had. The top of the chains solicitor hasn’t received signed contracts - we were told they had. Why do people consistently not tell us the truth.

Had text off vendor to say mortgage company happy with the mining report issues . Looking to get all parties to agree completion next week !

Oh no I'm so sorry! It's so frustrating isn't it the lack of visibility and not being told the truth! Ridiculous that you got this far in exchange conversations when the bottom of the chain hadn't even handed their deposit over. Fingers crossed that those two issues have now been rectified and you can actually exchange tomorrow! Bank Holidays are making everything that bit more time sensitive!

Our solicitor says one thing only for the estate agent to say the opposite. Being in a chain of 6 is entirely painful!! 

Fed up of the whole damn thing. Not even excited about getting the new house. It’s totally sucked all the excitement out of it.

Well after a stressful week we finally exchanged today and all funds are with the sols so completing tomorrow! Cannot actually believe it.

@lugtigheid @Knotty13 @Lwizzle I think you were all hoping to complete tomorrow too - hope all goes smoothly for you!

So we've finally got in touch with our solicitors who have sent the contracts out for us to sign via post! Gah! How long will that take to come!

Sounds familiar. The last person in our chain had their contracted posted by snail mail earlier this week! Absolutely ridiculous. We are suppose to exchange this week - one day left!! They are hoping the contract is there and ready to sign when they get home from work. 

You’re not in our chain are you??

Exchange failed as person at top of chain didn’t get the email from solicitor confirming 20th ok .

Sorry to hear this. Lordy, this all sounds so familiar! Ours failed too because top of the chain had their contract sent through snail mail!!
