We are second attempt today at exchange and completion and now the CHAPS payment sent by my solicitor at 9am still has not made it to the sellers solicitor! 

You can't really make this up and meanwhile I have been paying for a house I don't even own for 4 days. 😭

So…we are now gearing up to exchange on Wednesday and complete on the 29th.
could this actually be happening?!?

And its official! We have exchanged today!! 

As we are buying a new build, we are not completing until July but that suits our needs. 

So delighted to have finally got this far!!

Our bank sent us a text message weeks ago that the funds would be released the day before. In an email thread that I probably shouldn't have seen, the vendor's solicitors (who are a bunch of incompetent clowns who make me wonder if they have done this before) said that they had already received our vendor's funds for his purchase and had to send it back to the bank.

So now we're waiting again. It's just so stressful and annoying because we're painfully aware that until that exchange has happened we have no rights whatsoever.

So my vendors buffer 50m mining  report came back Friday and has some issues that are being referred to vendors mortgage lender . I sent funds for exchange 25th March and still nowhere near . Just crossed fingers her lender will proceed with mortgage

You literally could not make this stuff up, so the lender is refusing to release the funds because everybody keeps at making up different purchase prices,  there is the actual purchase price a purchase price that somebody has sent over which is a pound less and now the lender has just made up a completely random different purchase price and put that on an email over to me this morning so I’m now gonna pay out an extra hundred pounds for a weeks worth of storage and extra £300 in rands and I’ve had to rebook my time off work on the removal company because some idiot has literally made a mistake with the difference of a pound I’ve offered to give them the pound but no apparently that’s not acceptable.

After a traumatic few days of not knowing what the heck was going on, we have finally exchanged with planned completion for this Thurs!!! 🥰
