So, here we are - everything signed, deposit transferred…now what?? Buyer (first in the chain) has signed, deposit with their SOL. What happens now? Chain of 6. Apparently everyone was keen to exchange on Wednesday but it’s now all gone quiet!!!0

So after going through this since end of November the end does look like it's in sight.
November to feb 27th Cash buyers who were constantly nit picking then finally found somewhere "better"
New buyer found the next day they formally instructed solicitor 3rd March but needed a mortgage so tentatively going into it with a view it could take some time.
They were pretty much on the ball from day 1 , survey booked , mortgage app done but a couple of weeks of nothing much happening.
Spoke to my agent this afternoon & pretty much at the finish & buyers want to complete within the next 2 weeks .
Survey results fine, bank valuation fine .. just waiting to tie the up loose ends .
Looks like we will be living on a building site very shortly !!

I think the biggest frustration is always when the communication doesn't happen. My buyers were at last hassling for exchange last week, but now how gone off the radar. I've booked removals for the 21st, first date I could get removals and time off work, and now they aren't getting back to us to confirm. I know their address, so tempted to drive over there and talk to them!Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)

Apparently everyone agreed on a completion date for the 29th and now…silence. I know where both our buyer and seller lives. We are all about 5 mins drive from each other. So tempted to pop a note through 🤪0 -
Actually, a note through the door is probably better than knocking. Might do that tonight.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)

Due to complete in just over a week with no sign of an exchshge date yet and two bank hols in the middle of that! Starting to panic now - seller is asking me to push my solicitors but I'm not sure what for, surely as my bit is done and money is handed over, contract signed and desired date communicated its up to the solicitors higher up the chain now (I'm bottom)0
