Taking bets on whether I exchange before the inevitable heat death of the universe. Currently offering very long odds.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)
April take lunch to work goal - 3 of 120 -
Offer accepted 17th Feb, solicitors instructed same day. Memorandum of sale received 21st Feb. Mortgage offer received on the 22nd March, signed the mortgage deed and sent it back to the solicitors. Survey carried out on the 15th March. However last I heard our solicitors are still waiting to receive the draft contract pack from the sellers.. The estate agent assured me this was being sent out by the end of the week ending 25th March but I’ve heard nothing since. The seller’s vendor has also only just sent out their contract pack. I thought things were moving quickly with the mortgage and survey etc but turns out we’re 6 weeks in and barely started! Very nervous as my last purchase fell through at around 11 weeks.. Just don’t want a repeat of that.0

After the vendors pulling our week of exchange in November we had a offer accepted on a new place and now i get nervous every email we get from the agents as I have convinced myself it will be the vendors pulling out.0

My solicitor has suggested to complete on the 11th which is Monday…. Dare I actually dream that this is gonna happen ?0

We have everything in place, contracts signed, monies with solicitor..... just waiting for the replacement mortgage offer paperwork to land (long story short, mistake by broker on repayment terms - everything else the same so mortgage provider had to go back around the loop!). We're buying an empty house, vendors have agreed completion for 14th so keeping everything crossed that the paperwork gets to the sols in time! Why oh why do they still use snail mail?0

Looks like another 3-4 weeks now before exchange . Right up to the deadline of my mortgage offer expiry … I’m exhausted from the whole thing0
