That's what I'm thinking - i don't know what could be bad enough that youd want to put your house back onsite and wait anotehr three months to get to this point - especially for the couple of days over the drop dead date that this is likely to be - worst case scenario!

We're in four too! Myself, vendor, vendor +1 and vendor +2 - nightmare, we're with an online estate agent too so their is literally zero visibility up the chain - this wobble was the first I'd heard of anything as we hadnt even discussed where we were all at!

Would definitely avoid online EAs going forward.

we will hopefully hear on progress on our 6 person (!) chain at the end of this week. EAs said we could start discussing dates at the end of this week - as did our SOL. Fingers crossed

@TXC don't worry too much about your top of chain, I'm sure they're really keen to nip this in the bud too 😊 ahh that's good, a friend of mine is in a chain of 8 and I honestly don't know how they're doing it!

Yes the lack of visibility is the hardest part, I'm a control freak so it's definitely been challenging on that front haha. 

Our buyers are using a mortgage broker who are inhouse at the estate agent, I've asked them to see if the mortgage offer can be emailed or faxed over to their solicitor instead of waiting for post. I'm actually really peeved that given the urgency they've literally sat there waiting for snail mail 🤦🏻‍♀️

Relief! solicitor has sent over report and all documentation saying theyre happy and if I am then we can communicate a date of 22nd. Going in tomorrow to sign paperwork and hand over monies! Just need to hope exchange goes ahead quickly now

So I am buying an empty property I sent over the last of the deposit money on Monday,  all of the searches are back,  all of the inquiries are back,  the mortgage offer has been there for weeks …. My solicitor has suggested to complete on the 11th which is Monday…. Dare I actually dream that this is gonna happen ?
