Been asking to exchange for 2 weeks and completion is next week and solicitor still hasn't signed off the file due to wanting more proof of funds, but won't tell me what. Due to this they won't send completion statement so I can't send money.
Why do they insist on leaving evening until last minute. It's making me very anxious.
how long you been going?
im a control freak and made sure everything for my purchase was done and dusted ( offer on 4th November )by Xmas . I chased weekly . My vendor however not chased much and dragged out process. Still sitting here in March waiting to move lol1 -

I pretty much said to my solicitor I won’t be getting able to get extension on my mortgage offer and with the base rate going up twice since my mortgage offer I won’t be able to afford a new application . Hoping that speeds on their work .I managed to get my vendors phone number few weeks back so I am texting her weekly now for updates0 -

My dream of completing by the end of next week seems to be getting further away. Still waiting for final enquiries to come back which should have been done last week. I think it will happen in April now. So frustrating but nothing we can do.0

So a ray of hope in our long stressful journey of selling and buying . Today the EA contacted us to inform us our seller has been able to escalate the file and we are now aiming for completion by the end of the month . Our solicitor also informed us an hour later that she has received the last of the enquiries back . They have been outstanding for over a month (no fault of the seller just crap solicitor ) I think the seller paid to have the file escalated . Money talks hey .
We accepted an offer on ours October and our offer on our purchase was accepted the same day . We are a chain of 3 with a FTB - us - our seller (going into rented)
Our sale has been ready for months but the purchase has been delay after delay . Our buyer has been extremely patient but over the past few months we have both felt anxious and frustrated at the lack of progress on a simple chain . I have been in contact with our purchaser these past few months and it’s helped as we have had a double pronged approach with EA. The same EA for our sale and purchase I might add .I am just praying everything is in order when our solicitor looks at the file tomorrow. Like a previous poster said it doesn’t matter how organised, how efficient you are, you are ultimately at the mercy of the weakest link .There seems to be some hope we will complete soon 🤞🏽Hang in there everyone1 -
Searches back and apparently all satisfactory according to sol! Apparently they're just waiting for feedback on last enquiry and we should be good to exchange! No date set yet0

I may be losing the plot. Today I found out that my buyer sent half their documents to their solicitor, but not the other half. No idea why only half, they obviously didn't feel like doing those other ones just yet.
Two weeks to find a solicitor. Delay docs a week while they go on holiday. Delay another week because postage is expensive.
I may have threatened to poop on their doorstep today. Not to the buyers themselves, just perhaps to my estate agent...Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)
April take lunch to work goal - 3 of 120
