still waiting…I’m quite confident it will not happen today as almost 3pm and solicitor said it takes a few hours so see what tomorrow brings.

    yet again!!!

Keeping fingers crossed that your lack of posting is due to flurry of activity post exchange
I bloody wish. Got a phone call yesterday at 4pm to say they were ready to exchange could we complete Tuesday. I said yes if we exchange tomorrow (meaning today) my solicitor checked with my bank NatWest that they could release the funds in time. PPL solicitor requested funds last night but didn’t tell my solicitor. My solicitor spoke to her this morning and she then said she would ring Barclays to check her clients funds will be released in time and heard nothing since.

Waiting for PPL to call back my solicitor.

Thought I’d be writing today we have exchanged completing Tuesday but I am now very doubtful once again.

    🙄

    sounds promising for you.

Not so for us , I think we are pulling out from sale & purchase as our buyers are just not playing ball .  there comes a point where  you have to cut your losses and I think we have reached it

I feel the same. If they don’t come back today to exchange I think we will just stay here. Just dragging us along. I’m waiting for PPL to say something else is outstanding.

So sorry you had a rubbish time. I really do feel for you and know how you feel.

  • Has anyone got any experience of waiting to see if mortgage company will accept indemnity insurance for an extension?

They have the paperwork, been advised 5-7 days, broker has marked as urgent but i am getting very anxious 😟

It's Ok, there is only so many days you can keep hoping for calls and emails to come through.

We have another buyer in the wings so I'm sure we will get a buyer soon but I won't be strung along by someone elses timeline .We have wasted 3 weeks over the expected exchange time and enough is enough. It's about time someone else gets a stressful weekend .
I'm sure yours will come through but each day it's one more bit of info needed so I think other things are in play

Hi all, new here, I’ve been reading through some of your comments and thought I would join in!

Our solicitors are currently waiting on responses back on their enquiries to the sellers solicitor. I believe the searches came back two weeks ago. I know it varies, but how long has it been for everyone from this point to get to exchange/completion?
Ours took around 2 to 3 weeks, i did not know the exact time because my solicitor never told me what she was doing.

It can take quite a while because it depends on lots of things e.g. how responsive is your seller, how quickly does their solicitor responds, you know the enquiries or replies can sit in the solicitor's inbox for a long time!

  • Still no exchange.

Safe to say I’m done with this now. How
can you call 24 hours ago to say they are ready then don’t return anyones calls today.

PPL are the worst company I’ve ever come
across. My solicitor has requested funds again but was expecting buyers to exchange today.

    keep on keeping on.

I think we will re-market next week done with our buyers solicitors , let them have some stress trying to find something that they are looking for for the right price ..It's quite liberating really ... back in control

I have been lurking here for a few months . We are about to enter  the 5 month mark on a chain of three with our seller going into rented . I have to say some of your posts are soul destroying . I really hope for those of you waiting and waiting that it happens soon .

We are waiting on enquiries being returned  from sellers solicitor .it’s been delay after delay on a relatively simple chain.

Sending positivity to all of you waiting at the final hurdle .
  • Last day of the week. I can’t take anymore. I really hoping for some news today. Good luck everyone.
