I decided that losing money from booking and possibly having to cancel removals was more palatable than facing the possibility of having no removals available on completion day!Lorann_86 said:
Same here! Not really sure whether to book for Monday or not. Had hoped for a date agreed today but doesn't look likely now. Going to end up man with a van x3House_owner said:Phoned my estate agent to ask her to chase up buyers solicitors. Apparently they do want to complete on 29th and exchange this week - shame they didn't think to tell my solicitors that!
So mad panic trying to check removal availability - all three I had had quotes from booked up until October - finally found another one who is available on 29th and is coming to give a quote this evening - facing the prospect of chosing (a) Risk of losing money by booking removals before exchange or (b) Not being able to get a removals company booked at all!
Stress levels are high......!
Hope things work out for you!

Was hoping my exchange was to happen today. But apparently sellers solicitors wasn't ready, chased estate agent to push on sellers solicitors (sellers using a Estate agent recommended solicitor) Got to call my solicitors to give authority again and hope it goes ahead.
All parties have agreed to a 28th Completion and all parties solicitors have said everyone is ready. So don't know why if failed today.
I spoke to sellers last week and they already have removals booked for 28th. I'm a bit lucky in that I don't need to move in straight away. So I don't have to worry much about removals.
Fingers crossed exchange happens tomorrow! I can rest a bit easier then

my vendor solicitor has been told from the start the deadline we need to make so I don’t know if they just don’t care about that deadline or they are confident they can get it done so not rushing 🤷♀️0
