  • I’m sick of chasing and not getting anywhere…
I feel you. It hit me hard last week.

I'm not sure whether to keep pushing, or just let it be, at this point.
    Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:
  • I just feel bad for my buyer if we miss the deadline because they have been so patient, we accepted their offer in June and they waited for us to find somewhere

my solicitor has said this morning they will keep chasing for the replies to enquiries, I’m not giving up yet but it’s so de-motivating isn’t it
  • Suddenly our seller is pushing to complete on Friday! Which is doable apart from booking removals! Waiting to hear back from solicitors today then will be scouring for someone with space for us. Expecting it will be next week rather than Friday though.

Progress; after 6 weeks our solicitors have receieved the search results and sent them through. Thay are chasing up enquiries re an extension and conservatory. Hopefully these will be resolved quickly and then we can start thinking abaout dates.
  • Well it's squeaky bum time over here. Just waiting for the vendor to supply a copy of the buildings insurance certificate, and then that is all enquiries responded to. Been told she should have it by Wednesday, so cutting it reallllly fine to make the stamp duty deadline.

Can I sign and return the contract before all enquiry responses are received? Some people seem to do this (from what I can see from their signatures), but when I brought it up with my solicitor she just ignored the suggestion.

Wish I had one of the ones that liked to do it at the top! Myself and the vendor are using the same firm, so I guess even if I sign and return mine, we'll still be waiting on the vendor to sign and return hers if that's the firm's usual protocol. Not sure if I can be bothered to push it or not. Beyond sick of the chasing.

  • Phoned my estate agent to ask her to chase up buyers solicitors. Apparently they do want to complete on 29th and exchange this week - shame they didn't think to tell my solicitors that!
So mad panic trying to check removal availability - all three I had had quotes from booked up until October - finally found another one who is available on 29th and is coming to give a quote this evening - facing the prospect of chosing (a) Risk of losing money by booking removals before exchange or (b) Not being able to get a removals company booked at all!
    Stress levels are high......!

Same here! Not really sure whether to book for Monday or not. Had hoped for a date agreed today but doesn't look likely now. Going to end up man with a van x3
