The radio silence is the worst. Feel like I'm constantly waiting for something to happen. In the meantime I really should be getting prepared, sorting and packing etc. But I just can't concentrate on anything!
I know this feeling and currently in the thick of it….not able to do anything and incessantly checking my emails just in case I’ve missed an update 😥
Snap... I feel you all on this one!

Monday felt so much more positive, but no updates at all yesterday, and we've now been assigned our fourth solicitor in six weeks, who has emailed this morning to say that there is a missing search and they've had no response from our lender about the partial loft conversion yet. It doesn't appear that they've responded to the buyer's solicitor, despite us sending all the documents and responses on Monday, and explaining why it needed to go quickly...

Our chain didn't collapse yesterday, but we're getting calls from the three estate agents above us daily, and our buyer's mortgage offer still isn't in, although must be imminent now...

I can't concentrate on anything else, it's driving me insane. Being so pregnant in this heat probably isn't helping, either!

Fingers crossed we all get good updates soon.
OMG I can’t believe that they still haven’t got their offer - what has your EA said? Make sure you get plenty of rest for you and bump in this heat! 🥵
For the past three weeks, they've just got annoyed when we've enquired and said some people have been waiting since January and it's a process so all we can do is wait...

On Monday she was a bit more helpful, I think she realised that her email to the whole chain was very wrong and is trying to fix it a bit. She confirmed the valuation had happened last Wednesday, but nothing else. I'm preparing myself to call again!

I'm worried about our new solicitor. They've gone off on one about needing a valuation from the bank... spent days on it. We've just talked to our mortgage advisor who has confirmed that it was a desktop valuation and they don't provide evidence of this to the solicitors and never have. The bank seem amused; I'm just frustrated.

And thank you! I'm trying. Failing, but trying 😅 How are things for you?
Rubbish as no news but trying to be positive as otherwise I might cry with the stress. As others have told me, it will happen so going to just stick a fake smile on and enjoy the sun ☀️ 😁 🙏

Im 5 weeks into purchase and not even got mortage offer so cant even think about packing haha
Packing will be stressful even though Im going from 1 bed to another 1 bed so wont be a lot of stuff.
No exchange dates either and we are 3 weeks from stamp duty deadline.
    Any news on your valuation?
Nope not yet. Halifax not got the report back yet and they say normally they give them 48 hours so cant chase until Friday but should be received today hopefully and I get a offer end of week!
Halifax were super quick with me despite my partner's questionable credit history. I think they went from application to valulation to full offer in the space of about 3 working days. It's disappointing that you have to wait
12/03/21 - House put up for sale
05/04/21 - Offer accepted for sale of house
    10/04/21 - DIP approved
13/04/21 - Offer accepted on purchase of house
    28/04/21 - Mortgage application made
    30/04/21 - Mortgage offer received
    15/06/21 - Searches ordered
    28/06/21 - Searches received
    22/07/21 - Enquiries raised
    03/08/21 - Enquiries returned, 1 outstanding issue
19/08/21 - Enquiries on purchase satisfied. Ready to exchange
    08/09/21 - Exchanged
    10/09/21 - Due to complete
  • We are waiting on the top of the chain still... once they are in agreement, we can exchange but we have heard nothing from them. Beyond frustrated as we are keen to book removals. Everyone is in agreement to complete on the 20th...
  • Due to complete on Friday and the estate agent called earlier saying the sellers solicitor said they are awaiting to hear from my solicitor about the transfer of my funds ready to exchange. I transferred them Monday so they should have them now but I just emailed my solicitor to check and got an out of office  :s

Yup the wait is making me nervous as Barclays took 2 weeks to get report back and that ended badly!
  • Apparently we are waiting for a transfer of deed paperwork from our buyer and then we can do all the signing
    that means exchange soon right

At 12:19 today I got a call asking for verbal authority to exchange today. At 14:59 I got the call to say we've officially exchanged with plan to complete Friday.

Getting to this point has taken nearly 23 weeks for no good reason but the end really is in sight now
    Congrats!
