I rented a van and will pack/drive/move myself. I was able to book one this Monday gone for Thursday through to Saturday (on the assumption that I will complete on Friday)Kazzam1984 said:How are you all doing removals ? Oh no that is so frustrating and stressful!WorriedKirkels said:Argh 😠 I am so fed up now! So the bottom of the chain haven’t got their funds across and will ‘pop’ into their solicitors tomorrow to drop their signed forms off….so we may be able to exchange tomorrow afternoon but not likely!!!
So looks like exchange is likely to happen the day before we are supposed to complete. This last stretch is definitely tested by my anxiety levels 😕 😬 🤯🙏It is so close but will have to happen for you soon. It is so annoying when other people don’t seem to see the urgency when it gets to this stage and take their sweet time!Everything crossed for you!2 -
I remember! So glad to hear it’s finally happened. That is a lot of stress to endure - two months of daily frustration and disappointment!MayMark said:We exchanged today!! Anyone following my story, it’s been a long one but basically we are a chain of 5, got told 2 months ago that we were all ready to exchange and then every single day for 2 months a reason came up as to why we couldn’t exchange! But today we made it!!!!! Even the sales progresser at the estate agent cried of happiness 😂😂😂
Delighted to hear the news and soon you can enjoy your new home! Well done.0 -
My second application with halifax had the valuation done today but the report was not submitted today even though ESERV said they normally submit report same day. Hope report gets submitted tomorrow AM.
Got news from EA that management pack should be with solicitor end of the week but we shall see.0 -
Hoping to exchange next week! Started process in April knowing that tenanted until 12th September - they are moving out this weekend and then we have a final viewing on Monday to check all as it should be and our solicitor has asked seller's solicitor for 14th exchange and complete on the same day (no chain).
Despite being told by EA seller was keen for completion ASAP after tenants are out, our solicitor hasn't heard back yet from seller's sol that the date is OK. We have sent deposit money and mortgage monies have been ordered for the 13th but no word. Should we be worrying - I'm going to contact EA tomorrow just to push seller for confirmation through their solicitor - feels like the very last little box we need ticking now and then it's finally over so keen to get it tied up and 14th confirmed.0 -
This happened with me, I spoke to the EA who chased it and got it re-sent on. That was two weeks ago now and I haven’t heard anything. I’m trying to be confident that they are working in the background as our sale is pretty much done, after accepting an offer end of July. It would seem my solicitors ethos is: “don’t expect regular updates, it will happen when it happens but that will be super quick”. Don’t get me wrong I love the efficiency and don’t want to mither them, but it would just be nice to have an idea of where things are up to also.Borisbearworrier said:Hi everyone,
Could someone advise me if I am being impatient or is this normal.
We received the memorandum of sale 25 August and since then draft contracts have gone out to our buyers solicitors and we have our mortgage offer. However there is still nothing from the vendors solicitors? I was told yesterday one document was missing but this had been resolved but still nothing. It seems like a long time for me to not to receive initial documents??
I feel your pain!!
As long as they get us through for the end of the month I’ll be happy.19/7: Sale property on market

Day 3 of attempting to exchange..... Solicitor at the top of the chain is very silent, to the point where even their client is having to call them to chase!1

Well the commute has started and it is tiring for everyone. We will get used to it I'm sure but this process is so stressful.
Still waiting for the enquiries report for our onward purchase, but verbally the solicitor said we should be good to go now.
Our buyer said that they have the searches back and enquiries have been raised but not yet set to our solicitor ( they are being checked?)
I really hope we get this done by the end of this month. Saving a little bit on SD but also not having to commute for longer than a month. I just want to move now

Same. It’s a feeling of limbo isn’t it?Lorann_86 said:Well the commute has started and it is tiring for everyone. We will get used to it I'm sure but this process is so stressful.
