Argh 😠 I am so fed up now! So the bottom of the chain haven’t got their funds across and will ‘pop’ into their solicitors tomorrow to drop their signed forms off….so we may be able to exchange tomorrow afternoon but not likely!!!

So looks like exchange is likely to happen the day before we are supposed to complete. This last stretch is definitely tested by my anxiety levels 😕 😬 🤯🙏
Have you started packing? Originally I was going to wait until exchange, but I now think the window between exchange and completion is going to be very short indeed, so I might start now
I’ve been packing for weeks! All very phased and planned but driving the OH and my children bonkers. I told them that if they sat still for too long the other day that they would be bubble wrapped and packed in a box before they could blink….funnily enough they are now keeping out of sight! 😂
I am not packing.  I’m paying for a complete packing service.  It was an absolute nightmare last time and I wasn’t disabled then.

I would have preferred a packing service but exchange and completion were so up in the air it wasn't an option.  Completely agree about it being a nightmare and any extra help to take the strain is definitely the way to go - I'm so jealous! 😃

We exchanged today!! Anyone following my story, it’s been a long one but basically we are a chain of 5, got told 2 months ago that we were all ready to exchange and then every single day for 2 months a reason came up as to why we couldn’t exchange! But today we made it!!!!! Even the sales progresser at the estate agent cried of happiness 😂😂😂
Congratulations! So pleased for you 😃
  • Hi everyone,
Could someone advise me if I am being impatient or is this normal.
We received the memorandum of sale 25 August and since then draft contracts have gone out to our buyers solicitors and we have our mortgage offer. However there is still nothing from the vendors solicitors? I was told yesterday one document was missing but this had been resolved but still nothing. It seems like a long time for me to not to receive initial documents??
  • Congrats to the couple of you who exchanged/completed today. I'm sure the rest of our turns will come eventually (maybe)

I'm starting to stress about packing. We're hoping to get a packing service but as it's a long distance move I'm worried they might say they can't fit three days in once exchange happens 😬

Same situation as me, it’s so frustrating isn’t it, are you aiming for stamp duty deadline?

My solicitor was supposed to receive draft contract early this week, but we are already passed Tuesday with nothing haha

It's very frustrating and I am part of a long chain and I don't want other people getting nervous.
I don't think end of September is going to happen - would have been nice though.
    Good luck getting your paperwork
