Top of our chain (house above the house we are buying) has said they want to complete within 3 weeks. We are still waiting on answers to enquires for our purchase though and I believe our vendor is waiting on the answers to enquires for the top of that purchase. Is it even doable? Assuming they get back to us soon, fingers crossed it may be.0

Spoken to my solicitor
enquiries replies received but need reviewing may have more enquiries as well
when they told me enquiries raised I assumed that would be for all searches so god knows0 -
So it looks like the final loose ends are hopefully being tied up this week. I did say to my solicitor that I didn’t want to pursue minor items that would hold up exchange as I can see that the solicitors would just be going back and forth with no resolution.
So we are finally starting to discuss exchange although still have to receive, sign and return the contract yet!Good luck to everyone who seems so close now!0 -

Update on ours, everyone agreed Friday completion, our solicitor has said this can happen only if our lender releases funds by then, she has requested them today...does anyone have any experience of how quickly lenders release funds please ? thank you0

Finally got an update...
Our solicitor is now on leave for personal reasons and a firm director will take over. Enquiries from our buyer have been responded to, and we're awaiting responses to our enquiries from our seller.
Our buyer is having his remortgaged property surveyed tomorrow, and then they'll book their survey for here.
They have, apparently, committed to being "keen" for a September completion.
My nerves are frayed. Someone have a wine for me, the pregnant non-alcohol stuff isn't cutting it 😂Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
