I’ve had a text message from Nationwide confirming they are sendings funds on 31/08 (completion date is 01/09), however I’m still waiting to exchange (slight delay with the sellers solicitor). Does anyone know if completion on 1st still feasible, or is this likely to be delayed?1

so what else needs to happen to exchange
I know my buyers searches are due back and they can raise queries and they will need answering
Our queries are with sellers solicitors (new build)
what else needs to happen?
some signing of things? And then exchange is possible?

Just been copied in an email today from my solicitor to the estate agent chasing things along.
She has been chasing for a contract pack and has been told that the sellers haven't fully instructed their solicitors yet and that is where the hold up is.

Congratulations and good luck with all of those that are close to the end!
We have another week over and no further progress. It is so frustrating as everything else is ready. The fact that our buyer decided to change lenders to get a better rate so far along in the process means we are now at the mercy of their lender.
Accepted the offer on 20th June, they then asked for a second viewing after their HB survey and told us they had switched lenders for a better rate, that was back on the 30th July.
Our solicitor has said that we will miss the SDLT deadline if we don't agree to complete before 18th September, but he hasn't been able to get a response from the buyer's solicitor after sending across the indemnity policy on Monday. I am assuming their mortgage offer still hasn't arrived as last week their solictor said that was all that was outstanding. I know no news is good news, but after being told they'd have their offer within 48hrs on 31st July it feels like no news is worrying news.0 -
