I’m excited for everyone else and looking forward to following all of your exchange & completion updates in the hope that it may soon be us in the not so distant future 😁 x1 -

Also aiming for the 10th but just found out that our solicitor (who has been the slowest point in this whole saga) is also the solicitor for the owners of the house that our vendor is purchasing and our vendor had said that his purchase was going extremely slowly even though all sellers in chain want it to go quickly (top of chain is a landlord). Vendor has said he'd moved into temporary accommodation but we don't want to have him to do that if it's not necessary.
Our solicitor claims she has emailed the vendors solicitors for completion dates, but I'm doubtful now as she would essentially be pressuring herself to complete at the top of the chain and she's got a history of saying she has done things, but then not doing them. E.g she'd do things like claim we hadn't received responses to enquiries but then we'd find out from EA (that responses were sent a month earlier. She only reviewed them once we had 'ammunition' and could say that we knew she had them, same with second round of enquiries. She'd also say things like she'd sent enquiries but then 2 weeks later she'd say she hadn't yet and was just about to. Nightmare.2 -

Still waiting to exchange… keep saying they are waiting for the vendors solicitors to confirm they want to exchange. They have however agreed on Friday a week ago so… it’s starting to make me nervous. I’ve done all the chasing i can do and the vendor said they were told they would exchange yesterday or today! But there’s not long left now until end of day!0
