Congratulations to those nearing the end of this stressful nightmare 😭 im tired of it completely taking over my life. My mind everything is just focused on this and its soooo tiring. Plus my youngest starts high school next week so I feel guilty I need to be focusing on him!!
I had contract and mortgage deed through the post and sent it back Friday.....sol said this is just in preparation as some enquiries still outstanding but shel let me know. Then I gets an email to say she's contacted lender and they've no idea part of my deposit is a gift *face palm*, so my broker has sent across all necessary forms and now just awaiting for a new re-offer. Broker assures me its just a simple fix and should only take a few days....I hope so cause I cannot cope 🙈 i just want a date so I can start packing and prepping! Right now I just cannot bring myself to do it!....its a strange feeling0 -

We’re hopefully coming to the end of ours - the only thing that the solicitor is waiting for is the mortgage offer which was issued on 30/6 and a copy sent to her. I’ve emailed and I’m hoping that the forwarded offer will be enough for her to either accept or have a hunt through the file. Dates wise, it all depends if our vendors are happy to actually go into rented. Both myself and our buyers want to move ASAP.0

So after 2 weeks of being told that our buyers lenders would have made a decision on the documents that weren’t sent to them when they should have been, we are now being told that that it’ll be next week before any of us hear anything from their lenders. This is after being told for the last 2 weeks it might be a couple of days… might be tomorrow. I feel like someone is having a huge laugh at my expense!!!! I’m not a cryer as a rule but I’m so close to it right now. This is the latest coms from our
buyers conveyancer. Beyond words right now 🤨

I'm struggling to keep up with everything happening on this thread, big congrats to those completed, best of luck to those close. My update:
- 07/07/21 - London house went on sale
- 12/07/21 - Accepted an offer on London house
- 19/07/21 - Had offer accepted on Stirling house
- 19/07/21 - TA6 & TA10 forms completed and sent to our English solicitor
- 20/07/21 - Formal offer in writing submitted via our Scottish solicitor
- 20/07/21 - Memorandum of Sales letter received for London house sale
- 22/07/21 - Our broker finalised the best mortgage product choice for Stirling house (HSBC 1.09% fixed for 5yrs)
- 27/07/21 - Decision in Principle received from the lender
- 27/07/21 - Confirmation our buyer has submitted an application to their broker. Awaiting survey booking.
- 02/08/21 - Kids new school enrollment process started
- 03/08/21 - Enquiries raised/returned, building reg part-p cert.
- 05/08/21 - Mortgage offer received from our lender - whoopee!
- 10/08/21 - Had another viewing of Stirling house with both kids and my parents - still love it!
- 16/08/21 - Pursuing mortgage offer update based on latest interest rate drop from HSBC (0.99% fixed for 5yrs)
- 19/08/21 - Our buyer's survey is finally done! Surveyor verbally confirmed no down-valuation.
- 20/08/21 - More enquiries raised and responded (mainly repeats of past enquiries...)
This week we're expecting our buyer to finalise their mortgage offer and we await any negotiation following the survey...Really just want to nail down some completion dates, get removals booked etc. Stamp duty holiday end is not critical to us, our buyers are FTB and we're purchasing in Scotland where the holiday ended months ago. However, everything is seemingly lining up to coincide with the mad last week of Sept! We want to move sooner in Sept to get kids in new school ASAP, but our vendors are pushing for 1st Oct+ so they avoid a big early redemption penalty on their current mortgage (but confirmed it's not a deal-breaker). This waiting game and the unknown is doing my head in, I'm so struggling to concentrate on anything else!0
