Just received the forms to sign with wrong amount and 1 letter wrong address not happy 😡😡
We had the same on ours, We had a meeting the next day and they had sent us them to read through to ensure it was all fine.

Because we had actually picked up on the address, amount and a few other 'Typos' we emailed them back before the meeting.

Solicitor said they do this to ensure that people are actually reading the documentation and not just signing anything, Makes sense tho ! How many of the threads on here are because people don't read documents.

Another bloody weekend 😭😭 can’t wait for Monday and can’t wait to start loving the weekends again also bank holiday next weekend 🤯🤯
It's my birthday on Monday, so I'm going to try and switch my house-buying brain off until Tuesday. Honestly, just need a break from it all and constantly feeling like we're about to cause our entire chain to collapse.
Happy birthday !! Enjoy your day on monday !

At least you’ve spotted it now rather than the solicitors spotting it on the day of exchange - think of it as a positive - although I completely empathise with how you must be feeling x

I know your right but it’s just so hard not to stress ain’t it, can’t wait for this to be all over to be honest, just thinking will this be another delay as sellers lives overseas and if my solicitor has sent the contracts out then solicitor has to resend them again, need a good drink tonight I think 🤔

There is nothing you can do until Monday so pour yourself a large glass of whatever it is you fancy and enjoy your Saturday night; Monday will soon come round and you can be on at them first thing to get it resolved. Maybe email them tomorrow and follow up with a call Monday to get it sorted. I’m sure it will be fine 😊 x

Happy birthday 🥳 for Monday and sounds like a good idea to forget things until Tuesday - just enjoy yourself 😁 x
Try to have a good birthday!!! I totally get how you feel as I’m experiencing the same feelings!
  • I am trying not to feel bitter this morning. A friend who put her property up for sale at the same time as me just sent me a video tour of their new house as they moved in yesterday. They sold at lightening speed and she joked that since the sale went so well they were guaranteed to experience problems with their purchase. Well they found a chain free house, vendor moved in with their son and daughter in law and the sale completed in about 10 weeks.
I sent back a cheery message (and I am happy for them!) but has compounded my sense of gloom :(

It’s been almost 2 months since our offer was accepted and our vendor has been searching for an onward purchase. I told the EA last week that we’d have to restart viewings soon as we are just stuck in limbo. EA then responded 2 days later to say the vendor has suddenly found somewhere. However since then he has been unable to get any further information about this alleged onward property as the vendor has not released info about the onward property’s EA. My solicitor also said the vendor’s solicitor, who told her he been instructed to not send the contract until the vendor had found somewhere, has not responded to her emails asking for an update.

So I’m calling BS and think the vendor is still looking. I really hope I’m wrong. Living surrounded by boxes and half our life in storage is really not great.
