The impatience is probably the hardest thing to deal with I think. I just can't wait.
I realised recently I was annoyed about the draft contract pack not showing up (still am tbh) but it's only been 10 days, perhaps the sellers just need more time to organise it haha. But still, I wish people would be more prepared! When we submitted our offer we already had a folder set up on Google Drive with our AIP & proof of deposit, and had already got quotes from a solicitor so we were ready to go. The EA actually thanked me for getting everything over so quickly (it was 30 minutes after they called to accept the offer!)

I really want to chase this week but thinking is there any point as the last update I had 2 weeks ago from the EA was he had a reply from probate solicitor and not expecting the grant for another 4 to 12 weeks, when I look on other threads people are having probate being granted bk in a few weeks, 6 weeks today now the wait is something else 😭😭
I'd say it's definitely worth checking. I hope your chasing ends in better news than ours though. Our agent was finding out about our probate timeline when he discovered that the people selling it seem to have put it on market - it was a private sale. He thinks they've forced the buyer (2nd from top) in our chain to bid for it even though their offer was supposedly accepted a month ago. So...looks like this are worse than we expected.
  • Been told everything’s on track for Thursday completion & once the whole chain confirms ready, exchange will be done (if not it’ll be simultaneous)

I honestly think we're never moving. Just found out that our chain might not be complete after all. Our agent is digging, but at the moment the situation is depressing and incredibly confusing 😭
:( sorry to read this. Feel for you

Had an email from our solicitor today that they have had the draft contract from the vendors solicitor, and asking us to give the go ahead to start searches. Excited for things to start moving forward! Really hoping to be in early October, but that may be overly optimistic.
  • After getting a message from our seller as her seller is implying they’ve not exchanged due to us, our solicitor has confirmed they’re ready and dealing this afternoon!! I wish solicitors wouldn’t make stuff up to cause stress! Our buyers solicitor is also ready so definitely not us!!

Oh no, hope you’re ok? Try to be positive as I know I constantly get conflicting messages / responses from different parts of our chain. It might just be that something has been miscommunicated. Let us know how you get on x

+1 to this! It all sounds very stressful and not what you need after it's all been dragging on so long anyway :'( really hope it is just some kind of miscommunication and not as bad as it sounds!
