@catclaires - excellent news! Honestly, I'm trying to give everyone in our chain the benefit of the doubt when things go wrong or stall because if this thread has taught me anything it's that 90% of the time it some intermediaries fault, rather than a buyer/seller!
So glad you're back on track! Roll on next week!
@goodwithsaving For sure - emails have become something I fear. We're currently waiting to find out what's happening with roof on the house we're buying - very much hoping it'll all be fine and we can push forward, but I can't help worrying it'll be a full roof replacement needed which will just cause all sorts of problems!10th June - DIP submitted

Congratulations to everyone moving forward and solidarity with those stuck/dealing with drama etc.
Our new buyer is waiting for mortgage offer and I'm not sure where they are with searches/enquiries etc. We are still waiting for a deed of variation on our purchase. Looks like commuting in September to take my daughter to school in the new area. Hopefully it won't be for long but who knows.1 -
Hi @Lorann_86 - fingers crossed everything will be quick and easy for you! My sister had to do the long school commute when they moved, so I know it's not fun. Hope you won't be doing it for too long.10th June - DIP submitted

Just waiting for the final party to agree on the date 🤞🏻 Then we should complete by the end of the week they say! Completion won’t be for a week or so but I just want that date set in stone now! Finally feels like it’s coming to an end0

Our solicitor never replies to e-mails, not even a holding message to manage expectations. When I complained at the lack of response before, our sale got reassigned and things have progressed massively but sadly, our purchase would benefit from the same approach. Is it worth complaining again or will I just become the woman who moans??0

@cheeky_peach You're paying for a service, if you feel you're not getting that service then complain! They're not doing anything for free, and at the very least they should be keeping you updated.
