Woke up to an email from Target with my authority to complete on the sale so my fingers remain crossed but in a vaguely more positive movement. It does look like Friday is the only day where it won't blinking rain this week which I'm hoping is a sign.
Packing is all but done - we're at the stage of throwing stuff in a box and labelling it 'bits and bobs' and 'stuff'

Congratulations to everyone who have recently completed... I've been lurking in the background following everyone and its great to see people finally getting there... we were informed yesterday that searches have now been requested. We are FTB, buying from someone who isn't rebuying so the only sale is the house we buying so after reading this tread and seeing all the delays I am thankful ours will be the only searches we waiting on, but still realistic this whole process could take a long time... is there anyone who are at a similar stage in the process ?1

Heard from my solicitor that completion is fixed for Friday now. Paid the final completion balance yesterday so my bank account is now looking a little sadder than it was a few days ago2

Don't ever buy from someone in massive amounts of debt (although you won't find out until close to the end of the process). My sellers multiple debts that have been placed as charges on the property are the only thing holding up my purchase now, and wasting me money as I have to pay to stay longer in my current place.0

Update from me. My solicitor told me last week that she will propose a date for 6th july to complete however sellers came back and said they cant do that date so then my solicitor said 16th july and again they cant do that date. So now we dont have a date and just waiting for another. I dont even know why or what's going on. Dont think there is anything I can do but wait to hear for another date. Was looking forward aswell for next week .0

Update from me is still no update. Survey on our purchase complete and nothing worrying there. Enquiries on our purchase still outstanding (sent 21/5/21). Out buyer has not raised any enquiries so far Which the solicitor thinks is odd. Had their survey on our house last week which included a mortgage valuation. Losing hope of an end of August completion. Meaning some long trips to and from school come September.0

Major update!! My solicitor said we’ve been ready to go for a while now 🙃 so I’ve pushed for a completion date and he’s going to see when they are ready to move!!3

My solicitor thinks there is still a chance of completing by the end of the month so would be 12 weeks from start to finish, but that's obviously very dependant on many factors outside of our control. I hope so as I am completely fed up of waiting and its not even been that long really!
Good luck with yours!1
