Anyone had any issues with proof of funds statements at the end?

I have sent my solicitor the most recent statement however my gifted deposit hadn’t reached my account by that time and the next statement isn’t due till the 11th of July. I had sent a transaction list for the transaction after the last statement. Is there anything else I can do?
I had that problem when I was providing mine and there was the bank holiday for Easter in the middle... My lender wouldn't accept a transaction list, they needed the proper bank statement.
It really depends who you bank with. I have Barclays, and I found the service appalling, but this is what I was told to do when speaking with customer service: I had to go to my banking app, and go into the settings of the bank statements, and change the frequency from "monthly" to "weekly", so that they would be released only a week later. I still wasn't happy with this, because I needed them immediately, so the customer service person said they could request them to be printed, and I would receive them within 5 working days via post (they never arrived) and at the same time they would be generated 24 hours later in the app cloud. Weirdly enough, I discovered with my utter fury, that they meant 24 WORKING hours, so 3 days. Apparently they can't print them in branch, they can only order them. So in the end, I had to wait my 3 days, and finally download them.

If you bank with Monzo, on the other hand, your statement can be generated and be available at any time. So, after I complete, I will open an account with Monzo and move all of my bills and the payment of my salary over there. :) Hope you don't have Barclays! But definitely call them and cry on the phone so they get the urgency!
I needed a full statement for my savings up to current day, my statements are produced quarterly for that account so only ran up to April. I went in branch and they were able to print me what I needed there and then, and fix it when a weird glitch meant it had my married name on it, not my maiden name despite me changing it back in Jan. This was natwest.

That's exactly what I would have expected from a bank in 2021! But no, I went to the branch for nothing. Maybe they are particularly incompetent in my branch, but the process on the phone with customer service was pretty much the same, and not immediate either. Just the fact that it takes 3 working days for a statement to appear in the cloud, is really hard to grasp!!! With the bank holiday I wasted more than a week just because of Barclays.

Similar story with Barclays and my help to buy ISA think I spoke to eight different people. Not convinced they don’t it right after all that. Still not received the statement in the post and can no longer log into online banking as I’ve closed my account

@laura_lau, I do feel for you - it seems as if you've been stuck in Groundhog Day being ready to exchange for so long! I really hope you see some progress very soon!

We're in the 'everything gone quiet' phase at the moment with our purchase and sale. Both we for our purchase (for which there's no onward chain) and the buyers for our sale (who are FTB) have the mortgages in place. Apparently, the buyers' solicitor has all searches back too and will review 'in due course', which could mean anything, and I'm yet to hear about the searches for our purchase, which should be back any time. I know the solicitors will be flat out right now with people completing by end of June, and ours has been good at keeping us up to date so far, so I'm trying to be patient for the moment - we'll see where we are in a couple of weeks when (hopefully) we can be moved up the priority list again! We're only on week 7 since we accepted the offer on our house, and week 6 since our offer on our purchase was accepted, although it does feel like longer...

thank you! yes "in due course" seems a favourite sentence. Together with "hopefully", which my solicitor has been using profusely for the past 4 weeks! I think, no matter how long the process takes, once you are in it, you are in a completely different dimension which seems to last forever!
I now copied the EA back in to the reply to my solicitor, (she has removed him from the reply!!) to say ok thanks now dear EA can you please chase the seller's solicitor your side? I really feel like I'm herding cats while they are playing table tennis!

Hi everyone, could do with some advice. Searches etc are all done, enquiries are sorted.
1 June - Solicitors asked us for proof of funds for the money laundering. Everything sent back within 2 hours and said to expect a report back the following week (no explanation on what report that was)
8 June - EA phones to let us know that sellers have signed and returned contracts and want a completion date of the 25th June.

Our solicitor is now radio silent. No phone calls or emails answered. We have 0 indication of when to expect contracts, exchange or completion.

Do I work towards this date as a completion date? What would delay it except terrible solicitor? (We are 100% happy with this date) Notice needs to be given by the 20th for the month to month rental

I am so stressed, I am not sleeping and I cannot concentrate on work.
Send an email immediately now to your solicitor and copy in your agent.

    Subject (property you are buying)

    Dear

The chain is ready. Confirm 25 June Completion. I give my authority to exchange without delay from today.

Please can you update me ASAP.

    Many thanks

then give it til after lunch, if no reply, forward it to the solicitor again with (Copy to vendor agent)

    dear

please can you confirm you have received my email below. I do not want the chain to fall apart and would be grateful for an immediate update.

    Many thanks

if by 4pm no reply. Then email the partners... I can help with that later
By copying in the agent if there is a delay in upward chain they will come back to you. If agent doesn’t then you need to push your solicitor. You can do it.
I knew I came to the right place. EA has confirmed that chain is ready. I have sent the above first bit of the email. Now lets wait and see what happens.

I am in the mean time chasing up the place doing the building insurance to make sure that's sorted.
    Update
No word from solicitor so have sent second email
I gave the solicitor until 6pm (time for working late and benefit of the doubt) unsurprisingly there is no response. What are my next steps?

Email one of the partners of the Firm. forward all the emails of today and send it tonight and copy in your solicitor

    Dear

I am not sending this email to be disruptive, only that I am unable to seek any response to the transaction your firm are dealing with on my behalf.

Our chain is about to collapse. All
parties above are ready, but no reply from my acting conveyancer.

I would be grateful if I could have a reply to my emails below.

Please can someone ensure Exchange happens tomorrow.

I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate all efforts to get my transaction to a satisfactory conclusion.

    Regards

    Update from me.

We are inches away from exchange. The chain has til Monday, then after we do not have enough time to drawdown funds.

After many calls / emails Today, I have just had a call to it should now happen.

So time to just bunker down, and wait this out. I can’t do anymore, But if this doesn’t happen I know I did enough to try.

Will email agent tomorrow at 11am and 3pm and will keep doing that now until we exchange.

I have everything crossed for me and for everyone else in this crazy house buying process.
