Signed the contracts today. Dropping them off tomorrow. How long does it take to complete after contracts do you think? Still waiting on the HTB closing statement that I closed a week ago. Does anyone know how long it takes to claim the bonus?

We signed our contracts over a week ago and still not even discussing dates 😔 can't help with the HTB I'm afraid sorry!

They had even flown over and cleared the house before instructing the EA. I know that their father passed in 2020 - and the property came onto the market a week before our offer was accepted. Oh that’s good, fingers crossed u will have the keys soon, I think ours have only just been submitted, they have cleared the house but left some furniture and said we can have it if we like or ea will remove what we don’t want, the daughter is the sole beneficiary and the will is not overly complicated, was told it will take bout 8 weeks but hoping will be quicker, read some horror story about probate and thinking I hope that’s not going to be me, good luck with yours hope u have the keys very soon

I have asked for June 28th a a week ago so I’m feeling hopeful. Solicitor said it was possible and the house is empty no chain

Had an email from the estate agent of our purchase last night saying everyone has signed, however the seller has raised a few more enquiries which may need 'legal counsel'. Considering the seller is the one wanting to complete before the stamp duty break ends, I can't believe they are so late in raising these! We've not exchanged yet, so my main concern is the whole thing will collapse if we don't agree on an exchange and completion date by the 30th. Not good!

Also racing for an end of June completion! Seems the rest of the chain is ready, or will be, our mortgage offer is the main thing still outstanding and the valuation isn't being done until Thursday!

This is after applying in March and having offer approved subject to valuation on 23 May 😬 this whole journey has been a nightmare we have been living with since September. We should have moved months ago but had to start all over again in early March. Pretty much anything that could have gone against us, has. So I need all the help I can get 😂

Bank has promised the offer within 2 working days and as long as they stick to that, we should be able to just about squeak through. But any tips on speeding up the process after offer would be appreciated, is there anything I could or should be doing now? Is there anything I need to ask our sol to do or is she stuck until the offer is received? 

Please someone give me hope that we have enough time, I feel like I've aged 10 years in the last few months!

It will be just under a month when I complete (28th June) between signing contracts and completion, I think it really depends on what's still outstanding - I had two rather minor (in my opinion) queries outstanding when I signed contracts so I knew they wouldn't hold me up too long. What bank did you have for your HTB ISA? May be worth chasing them up for it.

I signed my contract a month ago and i'm no closer to exchanging. There are still 6 outstanding enquiries on my purchase.

Hi we also signed our contracts yesterday and dont have dates. My solicitor says she can claim the bonus 5 days before completion.  My statement from HTB came within a week. So hopefully yours should come soon.
