ohdarn said:Woo! We got a phone call to say we'd be ready to exchange next week, yeah!
So that was good news.
Then the universe realised something positive might happen to us, so it hastily attempted to restore the balance.
Then followed a phone call from our vendors estate agents on Thursday to say our vendor has pulled out of the sale.
We emailed him and apparently he's fallen out with the girlfriend he was living with so it's probably all off.
It's only been nine months of horrendous stress and anxiety, so no real loss 🙄
And since the house was furnished, we've sold all our furniture.
And the kids have started at the school where we were moving to.
And since house prices have gone up, there's nothing in our price range anymore.
And there's no houses near where we were moving to anyway.
Good times.
Things change pretty fast...hope it will settle doen soon for you...property market is booming you'll find something better. easier said than done...but hope is the key.

Awwwwww! Thank you so much everyone, so many lovely comments that made me smile and laugh. I am shattered from packing all day, but will come back and respond to everyone individually after the bank holiday promise! So glad to see some exchanges and completions, and other progress going on. I’ll keep a check before moving day, and hopefully see more good news for you all.@naomibm - really hope you are next, keeping my fingers crossed for you. Was hoping you’d be the same day. Not long now.@ohdarn - I’m so sorry to hear that, I hope you do find somewhere else very soon. Or that it doesn’t fall through after all.Thank you again lovely people in my phone 😘 x3

@Natbag Hooorrraayyy - fantastic news. So pleased to hear that your horrible journey is almost over!
@caz_cardiff87 and @amyr Delighted for both of you too.
I need all this good news to convince me that it could work out in the end. Really sorry to hear this @ohdarn - exact same happened to us a few weeks ago. It needs a weekend of mourning (at least) then hopefully you'll find another. Market has changed, but there's lots of overpricing going on...I reckon it will settle once the SD nonsense is out the window. More hunting for us yesterday and think we're going for another offer - let's hope it's third time lucky 😬1 -

I'm thinking of offering a bank transfer at exchange or completion because I don't really want to get it muddled with mortgage payments (it'll be less than £500).Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies1

Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the sunshine over the bank holiday. We spent most of it packing - my boyfriend seemed to think he didn't have much to sort/pack, but as suspected, 15 years in the same house meant there is stuff hidden EVERYWHERE.
Just had a call from the solicitors to confirm our bank details for completion on Thursday, very exciting! Just hope we get the keys early, as we have my boyfriend's house to empty, move and unload, then my storage unit to empty, move and unload before we return the van, all in the same day.
Hope everyone gets some good news this week!Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21

I think it'd be easier if I had a similar relationship and could text the vendor as the EA is really slow passing messages across!
