Morning All,
Spreading positivity to all those who are deffo moving this week.
We are hopefully at the end of all the enquiries and now waiting to know our mortgage is in place. TSB did valuation last Friday, so hoping to hear this week that all is well and the mortgage is in place. As I think we are then heading towards exchange in readiness for 25/06 completion. Fingers crossed!
I've sent all the contract paperwork back signed - should be with them today hopefully. Aside from that, we've been decluttering the garage and loft over the weekend; definitely the least fun job so far, but making progress on that now at least. I feel like we have very little time to actually pack/declutter with full time jobs and two small children. This week is literally our only chance.
Seems sod's law that the estate agent (selling our house on behalf of the developer, as we have part exchanged) is sending a viewer round today - could really do without that but we are in some kind of order inside the house at least.
Fingers crossed for a progress this week for everyone!

@Natbag and @caz_cardiff87 so so happy to see you both exchanged on Friday! The worst is finally over, it was great to see the good news, you’ve been a great support for me in the past few weeks!

Hoping we exchange tomorrow, considering bottom of chain coming up to sign paperwork today..... Though no confirmation top of chain can do the proposed date. Just want this saga to be over now, 9 months down the line!1

@Natbag Super happy for you!
As for me, i'm still stuck in enquiries purgatory. My solicitor sent the vendor 17 enquiries to answer (combination of vendor and solicitor enquiries), 4 weeks ago, and none have been answered yet. All the contracts are signed, and he has everything he needs to exchange, I just need the vendor to pull their finger out and respond. Chased the estate agent up last week and will do the same today. I just want to exchange and complete. My history isn't as long as others on here, but I feel like my life is on hold until I can move into my new place.1 -

Thanks for all the comments if good luck for our completion before end of June (chain only completed last week) but we shall see if we can do it 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻4 weeks tomorrow and feeling a bit sweaty 🤣
hope to see many more exchanges this week! Time for us all to pull it out the bag and save thousands!! We’ve got this!2 -
Im a FTB, got as far as arranging solicitors and mortgage application submitted by broker, hard credit search done, valuation sorted for house I was buying.
Seller pulls out, lovely.😭
So now I'm back to hunting for somewhere from scratch and viewing again .
Really annoyed as couple selling seemed very keen .
My broker says I won't need a second hard search if via sane lender, hope not as I don't want a credit search to stop me getting approved.1 -
We've got everything crossed for you @BountyBlink.
We are ready to go on our sale, but are waiting for an upgraded title on our purchase which the seller's solicitor apparently refused to apply for initially but did around a week or so ago (Purple Bricks 🤦).
I don't hold out much hope of making end of June but it will be a pleasant surprise if we do. I am fully expecting bottom of chain to start complaining soon, we're number 3 of 5, cash buyer, our buyer, us, our seller, empty property. We sold our house in Feb after a few days on the market, our chain completed 10 March so not too long so far, just twitchy as we were in this position last May when the chain broke down after 7 months, 5 weeks after the proposed completion date.
