I can't believe it! Completion is next Thursday (3rd June).
Honestly thought it would never happen after 9 stressful months and after everything we've had thrown at us.
So happy. Thank you everyone for the support, hand holding, frustration sharing, it means so much.1 -

Just to add, my bank transferred £250k for me when I purchased my house, for free, but it took a while to reach the solicitor's account. It took three short phone calls and was a nerve-wracking 24 hours whilst waiting to hear that it had reached their account but it was absolutely fine in the end.0 -
@Natbag
YAHOOOOO!!!!! I'm so so chuffed for you! Couldn't have happened to anyone nicer!!!
Bad news here, our solicitor just rang...top of the chain missed their appointment to sign the paperwork so we couldn't exchange. Our movers are now threatening to pull out unless we exchange on Tuesday. I'm so so frustrated...I feel like I'm doing all the chasing and calling round...and noone else is. How did our vendor NOT know that the top of the chain hadn't signed the contract yet?1 -
No further news on my chain today despite many calls to solicitors and estate agents. Top of the chain apparently pushing for an exchange date of Wednesday at the latest, however, they are apparently the ones holding things up with their buyers solicitor (an indemnity clause required so I've been told but not forthcoming). My contracts & transfer docs are all signed and with my solicitor, who's now closed until Wednesday, not quite 5 o'clock yet though so still a little hope left for me lol 🤞0
