Finally we have good news we have exchanged and completed yesterday - never thought the day would come.
Our sale was agreed in Oct to FTB
Had our offer accepted on our purchase on 19th of Nov (took a couple of weeks to hear after offer was put in in) on a house where the lady was moving into rented
Day after our buyers pulled out as put on Furlough so mortgage was void
Managed to resell 4 days later to FTB
All ready to go everything signed both sides start of Jan.
Found out there was a issue with a charge on the land registry which should of been simple to sort
Had to break the chain and move into temp accommodation as our buyers mortgage offer was due to expire 6 weeks ago
Land registry issue finally solved last Wednesday so we completed yesterday - our mortgage offer was due to expire today so just by the skin of our teeth.
Hope everyone gets good news too especially the long time posters on here - I'm never ever moving again this has been so stressful although the new house is lovely and I know it will be worth it now. Will be checking in on here to hopefully get everyone else's good news soon.6 -
@sassypurple - ooooof, that was close! Congratulations though, so glad to see a long time poster over the line at last! Hope you're enjoying your new home after such a long journey. I'm with you, I am never doing this again, ever. It has broken me.1

Just as I thought everything was ticking along nicely, the conveyancer calls and says that they haven't received the paperwork I sent them at the end of March so haven't done any proper casework beyond initial ID checks. Even though I've been in contact with them once a week since, they hadn't chased it up at all

Fingers crossed for you @caz_cardiff87 !
I was hoping today would be the day, but my solicitor hadn't filled in the form needed for Target/Help to Buy to produce authority to complete so it's looking less likely. I only know this because I rang to ask what the timescale was and they said he'd emailed but not actually included the form. I wondered if I was micromanaging but actually if I hadn't been sticking my beak into the detail in recent weeks we'd be nowhere near exchange. We are using a different solicitor for our purchase who charges by the hour but is so much more on the ball..

@ Natbag and caz_cardiff - really hope you both get good news this afternoon!
Got our survey happening today and then hopefully results won't take too long before we can make quick process. Hoping I am not being mad wanting to be moved in by my birthday in late August. Wales here we come1 -
Solicitor send over completion statements today and asked me to transfer monies. My chaps limit is 50k, but the amount due is 4 times that! How do I go around that? Just transfer parts of it for the next few days? Thanks!!0

@neydejean Oh no, that happened with my solicitor as well, submitted my selling & purchasing paperwork to them in separate emails towards the end of January, got an email at the end of March to say they hadn't received my buying paperwork & could I send it over to them. So frustrating!!1
