Just as I thought everything was ticking along nicely, the conveyancer calls and says that they haven't received the paperwork I sent them at the end of March so haven't done any proper casework beyond initial ID checks. Even though I've been in contact with them once a week since, they hadn't chased it up at all  :(

That's another 8 weeks added to my wait

05/04/21 - Offer accepted for sale of house
    10/04/21 - DIP approved

    28/04/21 - Mortgage application made
    30/04/21 - Mortgage offer received
    15/06/21 - Searches ordered
    28/06/21 - Searches received
    22/07/21 - Enquiries raised
    03/08/21 - Enquiries returned, 1 outstanding issue
19/08/21 - Enquiries on purchase satisfied. Ready to exchange

Same feel broken the only thing that has kept me sane is this forum and the help people have given and the hope that you can get to the end when you see other peoples journeys finally getting there. Will be keep checking in to see how everyone is doing and hope to see positive news for everyone soon :)
  • Fingers crossed for you @caz_cardiff87 !

I was hoping today would be the day, but my solicitor hadn't filled in the form needed for Target/Help to Buy to produce authority to complete so it's looking less likely. I only know this because I rang to ask what the timescale was and they said he'd emailed but not actually included the form. I wondered if I was micromanaging but actually if I hadn't been sticking my beak into the detail in recent weeks we'd be nowhere near exchange. We are using a different solicitor for our purchase who charges by the hour but is so much more on the ball..

@ Natbag and caz_cardiff - really hope you both get good news this afternoon!
Got our survey happening today and then hopefully results won't take too long before we can make quick process. Hoping I am not being mad wanting to be moved in by my birthday in late August. Wales here we come

Solicitor send over completion statements today and asked me to transfer monies. My chaps limit is 50k, but the amount due is 4 times that! How do I go around that? Just transfer parts of it for the next few days? Thanks!!

@neydejean Oh no, that happened with my solicitor as well, submitted my selling & purchasing paperwork to them in separate emails towards the end of January, got an email at the end of March to say they hadn't received my buying paperwork & could I send it over to them. So frustrating!!
