@birdmadgirl8 & @hippocrates1 - you've probably said but my memory is terrible, apologies, but what is it you're stuck waiting for?
Ha! No worries - I'm losing the plot here and am struggling to remember myself, it's been so long! Basically, we're waiting for our vendor's solicitor to respond to enquiries my solicitor sent in early March. They are responding to no one  :|

Ah that's so frustrating. Similar here, waiting on one outstanding enquiry on my ex's purchase. Not sure if it's the vendor's solicitor that isn't responding or an estate management company that needs to provide the information, both maybe, I just know this has taken an unreasonable amount of time already. :(
Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21
04/12/20: Both properties listed for sale
11/01/21: Offers accepted on both sales & on our joint purchase
25/01/21: Identity checks completed, solicitors instructed
27/01/21: Purchase survey & valuation complete, mortgage offer received
05/02/21: Reduction agreed on partner's sale (under-valuation) & on purchase. Mortgage offer amended
08/02/21: Buyers pack returned to solicitor - sellers packs already returned
    26/02/21: Partner's sale contract signed
    10/03/21: Purchase searches all back
    16/03/21: My sale contract signed
28/03/21: Purchase enquiries satisfied, Title Report & contracts issued, contracts signed & returned
11/05/21: Still waiting on final enquiry in the adjoining chain to be resolved. Consent to break the chain granted, instruction to move to exchange given.
17/05/21: All parties agreed to June 3rd for completion
27/05/21: Exchanged on my sale only
    28/05/21: ALL EXCHANGED!
    03/06/21: Completion

I bet our issues could be resolved in an hour if someone put their minds to it. I wish they'd just let me sort it out and be done with the whole job. We'd be exchanging tomorrow if I could get my hands on that paperwork...

Still waiting on the leasehold management pack at week 12.

Maybe we'll find out what the service charge is before our mortgage offers expires.

So our buyers solicitors have had the draft contract pack for 8 working days now....
    And not raised any enquiries.
Are there always enquiries to raise in a property sale? Or is it more likely they are being slow.......
Is it an acceptable time frame for me to ask the EA to chase our buyer on this?

Hi GoingOn30, my solicitor advised that my buyer’s solicitor would be raising any enquiries on receipt of searches, all in one go,  maybe yours are doing the same?

Ah ok, that's one possibility, thanks ChocolateBunny. Since our chain is trying to complete before the end of June it would be helpful to get as much done concurrently as possible so I think I will email our EA in the morning and ask him to chivvy. I have no idea how long searches are taking to come back in Bristol atm, is this something I could find out by ringing the council?

You can get an idea through https://www.searchflow.co.uk/news-and-events/personal-searches-turnaround-times/

It shows Bristol City Council as 19 working days though! Which is practically a month...

@hippocrates1 - I feel the same, just so deflated now. Just can't help fearing the worst. Hope we both get some good news soon.
@uralmaid - you've hit the nail on the head there. And every day just drags.
Nothing has happened for six weeks. Can’t be bothered anymore.
We're now into week 7 with absolutely no progress. It's exhausting and I am starting to think that someone is just having a laugh at our expense. Feeling your pain once again!

Thanks for the support. I hope you get updates soon.

The vendor did not register the parking space as being owned by the property so they had to go back the developer and ask for it. Now it’s waiting to be approved by the land registry 😞
