Morning all, congrats to all those who have exchanged or are about to!
I'm now into week 4 of waiting after signing our contracts, still waiting on the top of the chain to resolve that outstanding enquiry issue. My solicitor told me to chase her on Friday for an update, and as usual she didn't respond. Sigh. I'm just so stressed and fed up now, we are living in limbo and I can't see us ever exchanging. Any longer, and someone is going to threaten to pull out :(
It's so painful - after the long weekend wait I always hope that something positive will happen first thing on a Monday. It never does...or hasn't yet, so it's hard not to feel gloomy. Sending you some spring sunshine anyway Natbag and hope you get some good news this week.
Yes, that's exactly how it is. I feel like we have just been forgotten completely though.
Thank you, same to you too! :)

My searches should now be back but I’ve no idea if they are.  Waiting for some sort of update from the solicitor. I was told early last week that I’d hear in a week or two when searches back and last answers to enquiries are in. So I guess now I’ve got to just wait- it’s going to be a long week!
I’m desperate to start talking completion dates so I know what I’m working towards.
Completion means I can look for a new job as my current one is driving me towards breakdown currently and also I can move out of the room I’m in with family, which is getting hard now. Altogether it’s a stressful time.
    Good luck everyone!

Maybe worth checking in with them? I knew when our searches were due back and asked our solicitor directly the day after. She had a quick check and confirmed they were—I'm sure without the prompt she might have taken a few extra days to follow up (not that this would have made any difference for us, as it turns out). Good luck with it all in return & I hope you get to those dates soon.

I have got to the point where I hate Fridays because I know the solicitors will be busy completing on all the lucky people purchases. I also hate Saturday and Sunday as I know nothing will happen. I wake up full of hope every Monday morning but by the afternoon I am back in the depths of despair which just gets worse as another week passes with no news.

OMG this!!!!! I'm exactly the same. I spend the weekend frustrated and impatient then by Monday evening the initial excitement or positivity I did have waking up has already diminished....

@hippocrates1 - I feel the same, just so deflated now. Just can't help fearing the worst. Hope we both get some good news soon.
@uralmaid - you've hit the nail on the head there. And every day just drags.

We're now into week 7 with absolutely no progress. It's exhausting and I am starting to think that someone is just having a laugh at our expense. Feeling your pain once again!

@birdmadgirl8 & @hippocrates1 - you've probably said but my memory is terrible, apologies, but what is it you're stuck waiting for?

YES @uralmaid and YES @Caz_Mnaz - me too! I wake up every Monday thinking that another week can't go by with no progress. But it does. And already today's tumbleweed is getting to me. Groundhog day  :'(
