At the beginning of July, we paid off the small amount left on our mortgage and were notified by our lender that they had applied to have the charge removed from the register. We are now assisting one of our children to buy their first flat by taking out a mortgage with a different lender, but we can't proceed until the old charge has been lifted.
Would you be able to tell me what is happening please? The title number is SY192221.0 -
Thanks @Land_Registry. I have been told that the all necessary documents have been submitted and expedition is approved. Could you confirm this for me please?Land_Registry said:
They made a request for expedition on 26th but it was refused as they didn’t provide suitable documentary evidence of the linked/dependent transaction.JHLow said:
Thank you @Land_Registry. The seller has confirmed they submitted complete application to LR and made request for expedition on 26 August. Could you confirm this and let me know the reference no. please?Land_Registry said:
Lodged 26 July so estimated timescale would mean it’s unlikely to be considered until end of Sept/early Oct. it’s not been expedited so would recommend they request that ASAPJHLow said:Hi @Land_Registry
We are in the process of purchasing a part-exchanged home, the seller who is a housing developer has submitted change of ownership request. The title number is MAN327496. Our solicitor would not want to enter contract without the title showing up-to-date registration of the proprietorship. Could I know has this application been expedited and what time will it be completed?
Thanks.I’m unsure what reference no you are referring to but if it relates to their request or the pending application then the solicitor can provide it. The case/request reference wouldn’t assist you as far as I’m aware though.0 -
Hi, we're buying somewhere and the last thing that needs to happen before we exchange is that a bankruptcy notice is removed from the property.
Assuming the solicitor has given the land registry all the info they need. how long this could take?
I know it's unknown but we have no idea if it'll be tomorrow or next year. Thank you

If it’s an application to update the land register then several weeks wait. If there’s an urgency they should request expedition to reduce that initial wait time to 2 weeks or lessLen17 said:Hi, we're buying somewhere and the last thing that needs to happen before we exchange is that a bankruptcy notice is removed from the property.
