We’re in a chain and awaiting the removal of a restriction on title number MAN2802 - are you able to advise the status of this?

I am starting a voluntary first registration for a property, I'm pretty certain it isn't registered - it last changed hands in 1960.The .gov.uk web site's guide says the first step is to search the register to check whether the property is currently registered, with a link to the online search - my search comes back with 'no information found'.However, back in 2014, Land Reg posted on this forum (different section) that the online search was not enough ( see below). Is that still the case and if nothing shows on the online search do I still need to fill out a SIM form?
Our online service will confirm whether a property is registered by the simple fact that it will reveal that information is available and you then login and pay £3 to check the details.
However if no information is available then whilst it may hint at the property being unregistered it is no guarantee although with a single property the odds are that it is unregistered. As such, and if you are unsure as to whether it is registered or not, I would check online and also check our Practice Guide 1 to see when compulsory registration was introduced to the area concerned - section 9 lists the areas of England & Wales and the trigger date concerned - if Dad bought the property before the listed date then this is further evidence that it is unlikely to be registered.Ultimately the only way of being 100% sure though is to complete a postal application using form SIM and paying £40 -

I am the official company representative of Land Registry. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. Hello Land registry - I hope you can help - I am purchasing a property that had probate granted and now, just as we were about to exchange the vendors solicitor have advised them to change the title deeds into their names rather than the deceased. They have asked it to be expedited and have been informed today that it wont be until 18th October.
My mortgage offer will of run out over a month before then, more stamp duty will be due and I wont be able to proceed with the sale as my funds set aside will be depleted ( I have already lost one house after waiting nine months for vendors to secure onward purchase and thought this one would be easier as no chain)
Is this really the earliest it can be processed?0 -

Do you know the title number involved? We ask solicitors to request expedition through a dedicated channel and to submit documentary evidence of the confirmed purchase. They haven’t done that and have simply included a letter of request with their submission. That won’t be seen until the application is considered.I’ll flag it with colleagues and ask them to expedite it so that should mean it’s looked at in the next 2 weeks, often sooner. Everything then hinges on it being in order of course“Official Company Representative
