Nothing to update as yet - I’d expect things to move in the next few days due to expedition

I am the official company representative of Land Registry. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"

Hello - I've recently repaid a mortgage. If I've received a notification from the Land Registry Alerts that an application has been lodged by the bank, does that mean the charge has now been removed, or is there still a delay between that point and the updating of records? The reference is D011PWR.

The notification merely tells you an application has been lodged by X
If it’s a high street bank then it’s usually removed electronically and therefore immediately, as was the case here

Not sure if I’m on the right post here. We are purchasing a property which is currently leasehold with only 15 years left. We are buying the freehold as well as the property at the same time. The owner of the lease has agreed a price with us and we need to pay his solicitor fees now. Please can you tell me how long it this process takes we are right at the beginning of buying the property and freehold.
