MobilePhoneBuyer.net Problems

  • After a lot of research, I have finally hunted down Mobilephonebuyer.net's telephone number.

    Telephone: 0870 744 7530

Use the number if you do not get any response through email!
  • Anyone had problems with this company?

Recommended by this website, I sent off my working perfectly N70 carefully bubble wrapped in padded envelope etc. Now they've contacted me saying it doesn't work, we'll offer you £4 (instead of £33).

Obviously I'm not happy. They will only send me the phone back if I pay postage again, so it looks like I've no choice. I'll have to pay it then take action against them or the royal mail.

    Any advice?

Edit: they've just offered to pay the P&P to send the phone back, perhaps i'm getting somewhere?
  • I want to use mobilephonebuyer.com but im a bit worried about giving them my bank account numbe rand sort code. Its apparently to put the money straight into my account using BACS, is this ok?

Your bank account number and sort code are printed on every cheque. Not much of a secret is it?

I sold an old Nokia 6310i to them recently, they were offering the best price and paid into my bank account with no problems.

Sorry it was http://www.mobilephonebuyer.net/ that I used.
  • Has anyone used mobilephonebuyer.net as seen on this website? It is offering me twice what other sites want to give melaughing-smiley-014.gif!! Sounds too good to be trueconfused-smiley-013.gif. Feedback would be appreciated.

Please be very careful if you ever use this conning company to sell your phone, they are on the front of this website on the mobile sales finder.
I sent them my sons phone approximately 3 weeks ago having accepted there price of £45, 2 weeks after they had the phone i got an email from them saying due to scratches on the screen they would only offer £35! This was a mobile that was unlocked to all networks, in general was in very good condition apart from some scratches on the screen which did not affect the general use of the phone. This company are offering the most to get the sale then emailing people to cut the price down due to slight imperfections. Nowhere on there website does in state the phone must be in new condition. They are conmen and should be removed from the calculator. They also state guaranteed payment within 7 days!! they have had the phone 3 weeks. £10 might not seem a lot but to a disabled child ( it was my sons phone ). Seller beware.
  • Contacted by mobilephonebuyer and resolved matter to my and there satisfaction so praise to mobilephonebuyer for upholding there side of the agreement.
  • Like Gordon, I too am having issues with mobilephonebuyer.net - I sent them my apple IPHONE 3GS 13 days ago and have had no contact except for an email to say they have received my phone 10 days ago. They say that payment will be guaranteed within 7 days !!!!!

There is no phone number that works for them (both numbers engaged - 0870 744 7530 and 01252 404608 (from WHOIS registry)) and there are no replies to emails. Its very frustrating not knowing what is going on, and not having any contact from them !!

Does anyone know if the website is actually legit ?? Martin - should you really be including them in your tables if not ???

Any help or info gratefully received.
  • I'm another who is having problems with mobilephonebuyer.net. I sent my phone to them, it was received on 12th Dec.
I received the confirmation email from them but up to now not received payment.
I have tried to contact them three times, but not had a reply yet.
I am beginning to feel that i have been ripped off!
I only wish i went with mazuma who i have used before with no problems at all.
