MobilePhoneBuyer.net Problems
Has any ever heard back from Mobilephonebuyer as quoted in Martin's article?
There were a couple of posts in November on another thread about long contact times but nothing since - any clues to actual repsonse times? If they don't respond, Martin needs to remove them from the article.
I contacted them nearly 2 weeks ago for a quote, got a holding email and nothing else so am well peeved with their service.

If i remember rightly chuffy it took them about a fortnight to give me a quote so in the meantime i sent my phone samsung d500 to mopay instead and after hearing nothing from them in weeks emailed them to be told they hadnt recieved the phone  to be truthful i should have sent it recorded but that would have cost me and then i wouldnt have recieved half as much for the phone.
I wish i would have just threw it away now lol0 -
I mailed them last week and got this:
Subject: Thank you for your enquiry
Unfortunately the office is currently closed until 1st February.
We have received your email and will endeavor to reply as soon as possible.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.
Thank you for your patience.
Guess they have one hell of a Xmas holiday!0 -
Sounds like a great place to work....
unless they've all got legionnaire's disease.0 -
Still nothing back from them as yet! Anyone else had any more luck than me?0

From Martin's article...
The highest payer. Mobilephonebuyer is a much smaller operation. To get a quote you need to either call or e-mail it. It was most commonly the top payer in the comparison, though it varies on a phone by phone basis. Unfortunately its small size means I’ve no feedback on reliability or delivery speed.0 -
I sent my enquiry 14/1/07 and had nothing bar the auto-response. There is another post on another thread stating they never had a response other than the auto-response when they made an enquiry in November.
I know they are a small operation but it doesn't bode well for the actual transaction.
From their website:- Please email us with the details of your phones. We need to know the make, model and general condition. Giving your phone a rating and telling us how old it is can help us give you the best price. (If the phone is faulty in any way please tell us as this could affect the price)
- We will then email or telephone you back with a guaranteed price to buy your phone or phones. Normally within twenty four hours.

My inital enquiry was on 23/01/07 and I had nothing but a message to say the office was closed until Feb, still heard nothing so re-sent my request 10 am this morning (07/02/07).
Within 10 mins I had had an auto response thanking me for my enquiry and to advise that they would get back to me, 10 mins later I received a read receipt but unfortunatley still no response as yet.0 -
I got a reply in 24 hours, they quoted £80 for my Nokia N90This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
