I got my new calendar last week - it runs Sept 2017 - Jan 2019 - I usually get it in Dec but this year decided I'd be ultra organised and start it early for the academic calendar and then I can have the 3 lots of different term dates on for the boys - and DD's uni term dates!
Some definitely joyful time was spent transferring info across and marking dates on - with a selection of coloured pens
Old one was then immediately recycled

That sounds similar to the one I bought. I didn't realise you can buy ones that run from Sept of one year to December of the next.
I have mine up in my living room at the moment as I was so impressed.:rotfl:0 -

Not been very energetic today, IBS flare up, but have managed to put out a large pile of books to be fed a few at a time to one or other CS, cannot park close enough to take them in one lot.
I have also been through a box of craft stuff and put out some nice glass pendants from projects which dropped off the radar:o and consolidated some ribbons and beads into clear press seal bags. The remaining board games have left the house, the CS lady said that games and jigsaw puzzles are very popular.
I have bought myself 4 very nice items of clothing from CSs in the last fortnight, 2 items taken out to go, but still need to find another 2 when I go through my Winter clothes to balance things out.
OH has been busy sorting through magazines, quite a lot have gone into the re-cycling bag so brownie points for him:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Have just taken a small furniture item up to the chazzer, so that's a bit more space on the premises.
I've also had some lovely clothing finds at the chazzer this month, am just about to iron the latest ones to come through the wash and home them, will have to see about finding something else which can be thanked and released into the wild.
Have realised it's almost a year since we lost my Nan. I have one of her (unused) tea towels in daily use (Autumn, she only used up Summer and I also have Winter and Spring to use up in their turn). Plus have just chucked a worn-out flannel into the rag-bag and replaced it with a never-used one from her place.
We pass beyond mortal cares, but our household textiles go trundling on............ :rotfl:
Keep on keeping on, lovely peeps. GQ xEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

GQ, how many items of clothing do you keep for the allotment and for cycling? I think I keep too many bearing in mind that I don`t do much physical work there over the bad winter months. This is for KM clothes refinement. The latter KM is not that easy like `what if` I might need it but I could have said that with everything I owned in the past. I did it with one good pair of shoes today, pristine but I bought half a size too big and have tried two heel grips but they make me clench my toes, not good says the podiatrist0

D'you know, I've never really bothered counting allotment clothes? I have one pair of 'allotment trousers' which are a pair of cheap casual trousers which are on their last legs (pun intended) and will be utterly worn out in a few months.
Allotment clothes are demoted casual clothes, if they're cut loose enough to work in and aren't silly pale colours (like VJsMum, my colouring is a Warm Autumn and I favour earth tones/ dark reds/ dark purples in my wardrobe, anyway). Most of my clothes aren't pale colours, with a very few exceptions.
I have three old shirts which are only used for allotments and another pair of casual trousers which are heading downhill from respectable casual to allotment-worthy and which will become the allotment trousers once the current pair have gone to the rag-bag.
I don't own cycling clothes per se as I do my cycling on the way to the allotment and haven't enough leisure time to 'go for bike rides' as I did as a teen, alas and alack.
Most of my clothes are very casual, although I have tailored trousers and fitted blouses for the office and a few smart things (all from the chazzer with only a couple of exceptions) for the very rare occasions I need to get smartened up - my social life is mostly conducted on the allotments or slouching around with pals, normally in their homes lying in front of log fires drinking tea and talking nonsense.:DEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I have "allotment stuff": 2 pairs of thick M&S leggings that have shrunk in the legs (doesn't matter because they are tucked into socks inside my pink wellies!); some old salopettes for winter from our skiing days (long gone); an old fleece; a very old body warmer (more body than warmer now); a tatty waterproof and an old ski jacket. Long sleeved t-shirts go under and if it is summer (!!) then I have a couple of past-best t-shirts that I wear. My stuff is like GQ's - relegated from everyday wear apart from the wellies which are bright pink and my pride & joy (am known on our site as "her with the pink wellies and the little red Alfa"
)

Oh yeah, and I have a Cott0n Traders longline fleece waistcoat which I wear on the lotties for half the year, and a burglar hat (black fleece, so dubbed by my pals, I don't get no respekt) and a tatty cotton sunhat which is used on the rare occasions it's too sunny for this greying redhead.
As you may gather, I am a model of international stylishness. I have no idea what my moniker is on the lotties, but I am known to passers-by as a grower of effing potatoes (as in 'would you look at the size of those effing things!') - I remain glad they were talking about the spuds and not the size of my arris..... :rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

haha, not just me then and I wear the same clothes for cycling, I do wear a brand new lidl cycling hat. My lottie hat is worse than yours GQ, home made with rough and ready uneven first learnt spinning, a point on the top and two long strands to tie it under my chin. Haha worzel gummages in triplicate no less
I feel mortified, just stopping myself from getting cosy and nodding off again, which is spoiling my sleep pattern and I delved into the depths of my wardrobe. Shoes, I have two unworn relatively expensive pairs that need to go, unsuitable for my older wide feet, I don`t know why I thought they would fit me after breaking in, would have killed my feet even trying. I also have three unused :opairs of good slippers, not yer cheapo ones and the very same problem and I `found` four pairs of boots, then again I will wear them, oh heck I hope they fit, my legs must be a bit slimmer now I am a bit thinner. I am embarrassed to be going back to the cs soon but I`ll bite the bullet, drop them while looking down and leg it0
