Found you all!! been away far too long in RL.....nothing bad just getting on with RL
I can now, now that the burden of clutter has been lifted - not all but most. I am not daunted by it and nor do I create it anymore.

:T Wow, Igamogam, what a brilliant post. So pleased that your researches have led you to better health outcomes. Good to have you back.
And congratulations to everyone here, whether posting or reading quietly along in the background, we're all on a journey, moving at various speeds.
I have been busy with the family on my allotment and we lifted potatoes and harvested various other things and they also left with a boot-ful of bits & bobs, most of which will got car-booting at the Bank Holiday weekend and hopefully be turned into ££££. :rotfl:
In chatting with the parental units, it turns out that Dad has been clearing out 'his' shed (there are three). He mentioned that you can only take one window or one door per trip to their HWRC and it turned out that he still has some of the wooden-framed windows (1960s vintage) which were removed from their house in the 1990s when they went over to uPVC! I had no idea that they were there, and I thought I knew everything.:o
Mum also announced that something which was purchased for a particlar purpose and never used is to be offered for sale (20 + years on premises) and that the large white oval plastic table for outside dining is also on the move. Which means that I might suggest the metal stand and sun parasol (used about twice, in the loft for 20 + years) could also be re-homed.Could whoever has stolen my real parents please bring them back, I'm not sure what my life purpose is, if I'm not to be the only kondo-ista in the clan.:D
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

oh my word igamogam, what an inspirational post and just what I needed at this time. I am very tentatively thinking of moving, it is very scary on my own, deciding, looking, finding and on top of that wondering how on earth can my workshop be moved as well as everything in my large shed as well as my very very many heavy pots containing mature trees and beautiful shrubs like acers, lilacs and crabapples. So you see igamogam, your post is just what I need right now0

Today my shredder has had another thrashing, I opened a Coop bank account for my business last year, never used it and have now closed it. My goodness, the paperwork they'd sent me, 2 of everything, cheque books, paying in books, some sort of transfer books, some sort of cash books. Took a heck of a while to rip apart and shred.
The garden also had a good seeing to yesterday, filled up a green bin before it came on to rain really heavily. OH only managed the front lawn but got the back one done this afternoon. Lawn man coming tomorrow to scarify and re-seed, there are some really brown patches out the front, worst I've ever seen it, with toadstools coming up in places we've never had before. Very odd.

Hi all,
Not sure iv ever posted on this thread - have been lurking for years mind you!
Iv been km'ing my kitchen ik3a box unit and have 1 bundt tin 3 mini loaf tins and 1 rubber baking sheet in the charity shop bag ready to leave soon. I really thought I wanted a bundt tin (nigella makes it look a beautiful essential in her Xmas specials!) iv used it once... and that was cos I felt guilty about not using it at all so had to use it once before I chucked it. :rotfl: anyone else do that!?
I should add, my re inspired km'ing is due to our impending arrival in January next yearI'm clearing space for the absolute essentials (this is our first) whilst also bracing myself for the guaranteed influx of new items... whilst also trying to avoid any of the excess 'stuff'...:(
Iv been looking up 'essential' lists for what is needed for baby... as in normal life there seems to be a range of options as to what is essential0 -
I've been nagging at OH to close an old bank account for a number of years, he's told me that this week he's finally got around to moving 3 direct debits to another account, so give it a while for these to move across and the old account can close, so that will be a load of paperwork that can be shredded.Make £2025 in 2025

CONGRATULATIONS!
baby needs somewhere to sleep and some way of being transported - so a car seat if you use a car and then a pushchair or sling.
nappies, some clothes and bedding.
bottles if you decide to bottlefeed.
a really good place to get stuff ( and talk to mums who've 'been there, done it' ! ) are nearly new sales. Have fun!
THATS IT on the essentials front! :0)
Have fun! xx0 -
Hope today gets better.
Into the shower, the newly purchased body puff disintegrates on first use. Back to Mr T with that one then, fortunately I've still got the receipt and the tag. Then having blow dried my hair, instead of picking up the wax pot, I pick up the mousse and apply another good handful before I realise what I'm doing.
Oh dear, this was all before I've even got clothes on to start the day........Make £2025 in 2025

Congratulations Coffeebean!
My friend's baby has just had his first birthday. Apart from gifts from friends and family, he has not had a single item of new clothing - it's all come from the CS. I think one set of grandparents bought a new pushchair, and they bought new baby bottles. All the other equipment has come via Gumtree or the local Facebook group for mums at knockdown prices - or been donated by friends whose children have outgrown them.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -
coffee bean, I have four bundt tins, absolutely love them. I use Nigells bundt recipe in them when visitors come and any left over gets sliced and frozen, luckily I have room for them
I am trying to remove the thought of moving from my mind. Looking on rightmove, there is nothing the size I want with what I want. The only drawback here is that we have a small management company and I do all the admin work and it gets me down but someone has to do it. We self manage. We had a problem lately, which has drained me. I could give up my roles but there is no-one else. So I almost decided to run away ie sell and go to a completely freehold space. However I am stoic and will carry on but with a view to definitely moving in 10 years when I will be too old to do it all. In the meantime KM has to carry on apace. Starting with my shed and my garden, phase three and slowly slowly, starting today with my fertilisers and so on as I don`t use them, only comfrey from my allotment. I`ll be doing those as soon as I get changed. This morning until lunchtime, when I always stop0
