Kittie don't worry about the physical side of a move - that's what removal men are for
I would speak to estate agents in the areas you prefer and ask to be made aware of any properties that would have what you need - how much space, workshop, level garden etc.

Morning all!
Decided to do one "big" job a day this week to get on top of things (not big jobs at all but the sort I normally have to psyche myself up to). Today's was dining room curtains - big lined 106" drop, heavy old things.....they're down and one is washed and on the line, the other other is just finishing its final spin and will join the other outside. Whilst up the ladder I cleaned the curtain pole and rings (honestly ashamed how dusty they were). Whilst the ladder was out I got the light cover off in the kitchen and replaced the bulb (strip lights) and washed the walls down by the cooker to save climbing on the work surfaces.
All made easier by KM cos I could get to the ladder, the bulb and due to the amount of furniture that's gone from the dining room, the curtain pole!
Now if it could just not rain until these curtains are dry please!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Thank you floss, very kind and thoughtful. I have made myself content again, there were problems but I have found solutions, managed to offload one aspect of management duties and have put a bigger problem to one side. We will have the agm and then even the two absent shareholders will have an input, even if by default and the current problem, which gave me sleepless nights will then be handed over to a solicitor, if not sorted and it could well be sorted as the person breaking the rules, will be the one having to pay if he doesn`t toe the legal line. We are sure of our facts and would be happy for a solicitor to take it over but won`t be for a few months, until then we have shed the stress. The upside of living here is my eco home ambience, lovely neighbours, allotment and gorgeous apple orchard and sometimes sheep, behind my house. No noise, except birds and enough room to have a sewing room, a big insulated outbuilding/shed and a workshop/garage. Naturally there are downsides but much more upside, hence a reality check but gotto plan for when I get really old
Still, I did do some sorting, took a full load to the tip but gave a good toolbox to a helper, who was delighted and I knew he would be Another trip with another load to the hospice shop, A good bit of bulk has gone and I am happy about that. Some good stuff to the hospice shop, should make a nice amount of money for them0 -

Minor success! DH bought a new pair of stereo speakers on Saturday as our old ones were crackling - he fitted the new ones and the old ones were out by the sitting room window. I asked 'Shall I take them to the tip on my way to do so e shopping? & he said yes! Any other time he'd have wanted to keep them for parts for Justin!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

OH started looking in "the room of doom" aka bedroom 3 today, sorted out some old computer software and put necessary info for camera, sat nav etc into plastic wallets and crushed all the boxes for the recycling bag. I was bit worried as he had some of my stuff out of the cupboard, but I told him I needed to sort it myself another time (I was cooking at the time), wet day forecast here tomorrow so I will select stuff for CS and freegle then hopefully.
Half a bin bag of OS's books dropped into CS:D
OH has promised to Kondo the spiders from my food store cupboards in the utility room, they seem to have invited the whole neighbourhood in to play:eek::eek::eek: I am not flexible enough to bend down and reach to the back of the cupboards in order to do it myself.:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I need some help!! I KM'd my wardrobe, again, a month ago. Most clothes had labels attached - dont tell husband! After two knee replacements I can no longer wear the same style shoes. I have over 20 pairs of shoes, mainly Gabor, in their boxes which is how I've always stored my footwear, and in excellent condition. Can't stand unpolished, scruffy footwear! I simply can't bring myself to put in charity shop as last time I did that a new pair of my shoes, boxed, was sold for just £3. I know it's something for the charity but when you've paid £70 for them, price on box and never worn, I just felt very sad that only £3 was raised.
How do I get over this or what else would you suggest I do. I could eBay but footwear doesn't seem to sell. It doesn't fill me with joy giving them to CS even though someone has bought them and happily wearing them no doubt. My brain just won't let them go! Lol.0 -
Lara, do you have a dress exchange place nearby where they sell on your behalf?Carolbee0
