Paperwork shredded and into recycling along with unwanted plastic folders.
Face powder binned as I thought it made me look very pale a few months ago, just tried it again and realised I was right the first few times. I'm pale enough thanks with my Irish genes.:p It's a shame I didn't try to wear it on Halloween.:D
The end of a jar of eye cream just used as hand cream as I have had it about two years. I'm never buying that brand again either!
I'm sure I got rid of something else today... hmm.0 -
Its going to be a confined to house day, yellow wind warning, so I am going with the flow and will have much leisure time, doing nice things.
I received three amazon books yesterday, all 1p and btw the ones from america are always in better condition. I now have three extra feng shui books to browse and later donate. I am only picking out the bits I want, not the `mumbo jumbo` aspects. I may well write down what I want in a note pad. I also received an aggie book about house cleaning, interesting, I`ll see if I can learn anything new and one by phil spencer about adding value, this looks a good read, a keeper by the looks of it
I know I will find a couple of KM items for cs today, I have had my eye on a pair of brand new fitflops with a toe post but my feet are so much more comfy after following podiatrist advice and wearing indoor shoes that fit close to the foot ie no toe gripping, which was causing slight hammer toe ie the start of a hammer toe, now set in bone. They are destined for cs and will be the start of a new fill for the cs trolley0 -
Five more bags in the boot of the car ready for the CS first thing tomorrow morning.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Well done Mrs Porridge.
Not much happening here due to being very busy with paying work, but I have just thanked a white shirt and released it to the CS bag. It's quite a good quality shirt, and I long to be the sort of woman who wears a white shirt with trousers or jeans ... I have a secret longing to be Grace Kelly despite having very different proportions! However, I've had to accept that this is not The Shirt. I will find The Shirt one day, but every time I get this out of the wardrobe it goes back again because it's not quite right. The hunt continues!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -

Might you be able to recommend a couple Kittie? It sounds really interesting (but I'd need a version without too much woo...)."Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -
We Kondoed the bread bin of dispair... that was where the writhing snakes of wires and cables were (barely) contained. Much was binned and cable ties dealt with the rest, meh heh heh."Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0

No spectacular kondo-ing to report here but a steady trickle of used-up items leaving. I'm working my way through pencils, paper, pens, socks (always socks
) and clothing.
Pair of jammies very much on the way out, I've been wearing them turn and turn about in order to finish them up. Could only be a few more wears until they hit the rag-bag.
Will be taking a shopping trolley of Stuff to the chazzer after w*rk today and have another chazzer-bound bag of Stuff at the juntique shop (pal has said this stuff can go). Will do that on Friday or Saturday.
I also have about another hour's worth of reading on a trilogy of books I got from the chazzer for 99p a few months ago, so all three will be added to the donation bag.
Most of the crimble pressies left last weekend, which had freed up space, a few more things to deal with, and some mending, and then things will be clearer. Oh, and a ball of yarn gifted to a pal yestereve for her current project.
Slow and steady wins the race......... have a good day, everyone. GQ xEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

House insurance time here, out went a load of paperwork from a claim now over 5 years ago, some for burning some for the recycling. Glad that claim is finally off the records.0

The one I am keeping catshark is by Davina Mackail. I have gone through two books for my notebook so far, done lots of summerising with pictures. Lillian Too, was pretty good but she lost my interest after half way, when she started going on about flying stars. The basics were good from her. Sarah shurety lost me from the start, her book was all about buying quack cures and wind chimes. I did about 20 pages of summary from LT and 2 from SS. My summary is going to be useful. I have to do a book by Gabrielle Alizay today. There is quite a bit of flippant stuff in that book but I will get through it properly and pick out bits that I want. I am only definitely keeping the one by DM as a reference but my notepad will be invaluable. Doing this made me aware of why my dd and her dh were so stressed in their recently sold home and why my home has got such good energy flow and a nurturing aspect.
Today I am cleaning the front and trying to remove pits from my metal letter boxes and window cills at the front of my house, N facing. It already has the meandering path and large plants in round tubs and moving the number post has made a good difference. Gold rubbing wax came yesterday and I think the number itself, made from light wood will be dry from oiling, so I will gold the number, nothing ventured
I regard this as part of the MK philosophy, all about flow of chi0 -
Thanks for that author I have downloaded the free sample to my kindle before I buy the book. For non fiction I prefer a real book for some weird reason I just like to turn the pages. I'm oldfashioned like that.
I was helping at a good as new sale the last 3 days and wow did I learn about died in storage. One very elderly lady had decided to give us all the linens still boxed she got in wedding presents 60odd years ago. O dear. Still boxed tablecloths with napkins and aged pillow cases. I took some home to boil but even then and with rust remover on the pin marks I am struggling. Tea knives with ivory handles and silver cutlery all gone black and the handles damaged with damp. What a waste. Just shows you that use the best and not save it for better or sell the stuff you don't use or give to someone who will use it.0
