  • I divide my meat into portions and put it in the freezer. I buy biggish packs from the market. We have a very good meat and fish Market at very reasonable prices. Much better than from a supermarket for half the price.

I find labels come off while in the freezer. They often get stuck fast on the bottom of the draws
  • Hello All, I'm back for a visit ;)

Dd sent me a code for a free drink at Greggs today, so I went into town to redeem it, and to pop into Ts for some pork. Does everyone know they have a special on? On the meat counter the leg of pork is half price, £2 per kilo. I bought a piece costing £5.66 and the lovely butcher cut it into three pieces for me, so 2 in the freezer and 1 for Sunday lunch :D I think the offer is on for about a week, started yesterday x

I just had to say a quick Hello.

After being shut out from my original account due to a problem with yahoo and having to make a new account as "Elona" I managed to sort out my original e mail and then get a new password.

I am back and I can see the original format :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Excellent news, elona :T

It looks rather gloomy outside this morning and I have a warm jumper on, though I may regret that once I start hoovering in a while :)

We've agreed to sit with the grandchildren for a couple of hours this evening until their Dad gets back from work, so I need to decide what to do about food for me and OH; we usually have a sandwich at lunchtime and a cooked meal in the evening, but might need to swop round today.

    There, wasn't that exciting?

Your day sounds as exciting as mine Ivy. DH picked all the quinces off the tree - it's cropped really well this year and some of them are huge! So far I've made 12lb jam and I'll freeze some more for future use as it's his favourite. I've also made chutney in the past with them but apart from that not done much else - just the usual housework etc. Monna's been a bit quiet lately - have I missed something?

Burtha if you can't whinge here, where can you? That's what we're all here for, mutual support. What a total pain re mortgage situation.
I hope you were able to have your run, and that it dispelled the headache. x

I've just come in with a slightly soggy Staffie (current guest) and a not-very-happy DH as he hates getting wet, but won't let me take Bluebell on my own as she kicks off if she sees another dog. Poor love, she's scared of other dogs - think she may have been bullied in the rescue centre before she found her Forever Home.
Anyways, I've toweled her down, explained to her that we can't play ball in the garden in the pouring rain, and now she's chillin' on the sofa. :o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
