Having had a good think about your sight ivyleaf If you keep seeing different sizes I would call the eye clinic if it is still the same next week. It sounds very dangerous. I once got the wrong glasses from Boots they had made up someone elses prescription. I fell and they got broken because I could not see where the curb was. I was really annoyed with them because they charged me again for the correct glasses. They would not see that it was their fault I fell and broke them. I would not have fallen if I had had the right prescription.

It is one of the things the leaflet about Isometropia (unbalanced vision) warns you about. It's just because I've now got one eye that's still minus 10 and one that isn't. Hopefully itll; improve. I did bump into a couple of people in the shopping centre this morning because I forget I can't see as far sideways to the left (with the glasses lens), as i can with my right.

Thanks friends, I'm being as careful as possible, including closing one eye (either will do) when coming downstairs. I was pleased to notice this morning that i can now see the edge of the pothole in the pavement which I nearly fell into last week! I know I must try to avoid becoming overconfident :o

My neighbour's geraniums look red through my left eye and vibrant through the right :D

That's appalling to make you pay again nursemaggie! Was it because as the glasses were broken you couldn't prove they weren't correct for you?

Only one lens was broken. I had already been back a few days before because they were making me dizzy and they just dismissed it saying I would get used to them. I think they should have born the cost because they mixed up the prescriptions. I doubt the other person had a very small face because it is rare. The obviously mixed two prescriptions somewhere. I asked to see the optician. He asked what my eye problem was and I told him I was just short sighted. He said no wonder you fell these are for astigmatism which is totally different thing altogether. He said it would have damaged my eyes if I had worn them any more.

I was just made to pay all over again. I should have done more about it but dispensery and testing were different departments and they would not accept that they were in the wrong. This was over 20 years ago. They must have lost a lot of money since because I have never been there again. I will not even shop at Boots. They are expensive anyway. I have told hundreds of people about it.

With the internet now you can find out what else you can do. I would go as far as suing them they are a big company.

Thanks, we're taking it in small bites - a bit like eating an elephant. :D
But we had a chat, and we both feel it's best to get on top of it now, while Mr Wolf is still reasonably mobile.
It's just jaw-dropping to see some of the gibble he's bringing down though; stuff I never knew was up there!

That business with your glasses is appalling; they most certainly should have borne the cost and not made you pay. Pure coincidence, but both Mr Wolf and I have given B00ts the heave-ho for optician service, and I've found a better audiology service, too.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
