One of our neighbours has a retriever. For years we saw him being towed down the street by Freddie and heaven help if Freddie saw a friend he wanted to greet, our neighbour would have trouble hanging onto him. The years have gone by, now our neighbour walks gently along the pavement with Freddie walking slowly behind him. A dog's lifetime seems so quick, he's only 12.
An elderly lady up the road had two very old dogs and neither could walk far, so she used to take them out in a pushchair. Gave them a bit of fresh air and a change of scene. and gave her something to hold onto, to help herself along too0 -

Asleep, but recently at work more. Taking the last of the available hours before my hours are cut again! And when I've not been doing that, painting. I'm determined to get the spare toilet decorated before the weekend.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

Hi Islandmaid I put in for a bungalow about the middle of July, another one in the same street came up and they took it offline immediately. They have obviously not got anyone yet as it is still pending.
I applied for a flat next block to DS last week that is not let yet. Last night there was a gorgeous bungalow much new than the others, not quite in the area I wanted but OK with things I need near by. It just seems to be a long way from a park but some open land near by. If I get a bungalow I am thinking of getting a little dog. just a small older rescue dog. I did not think they would let me bid but the did.
There is another flat going in the block I was offered on Monday but I ran out of bids. I may take that off my list because they seem to have a few furnished flats there and people who need housing and have no furniture who are over 60 are usually a bit dubious. It may not suite me.
I have also posted off the forms to the specialist housing associations. I ought to get something out of that. The housing officer I spoke to on Monday said the first 10 people on the list were all too young for sheltered housing. There must be a lot who just bid on anything.
I have had my 4th injection today. Instead of just jabbing at me she was careful and I barely felt it. It did not sting as much this time either. I am now feeling much better. The not feeling very well a few hours after was no problem either. I think I was a bit of a misery guts last week.
One advantage of getting white hair when you were very blond is the growing out does not show so much. I had streaks for a while when I first started going white because I was only 26.0 -
NM - at least options appear to be growing, so won't be long before something lovely comes your way, got everything crossed for you x
A little dog sounds amazing, and a rescue even better, our lovely next door neighbors got a sweet little yorkie from RSPCA last year, his previous owner had to go into a home and couldn't look after him any more - the loveliest ending is that Max has a loving new mummy and daddy, Max now obviously is in charge, and they love it :rotfl:Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

You were just having a bad week last week, nursemaggie.
i wasn't here today because I went for my first cataract operation. It went fine, though because I'm very short-sighted in the other eye, images look different sizes with each eye. If it doesn't improve, I hope the surgeon will do the second eye asap. I have a follow-up appointment on 5th October, so we'll see how I am by then.
Atm I'm having to type with one eye shut.0
