  • No it was Mable sneaking up behind me and jabbing at me, as well as all that messing around at the beginning. Mable is the nurse.

Last week was the week of feeling worse when the treatment began just like it does when you have antibiotics.

Glad you have had your first eye done. I hope you get the other done soon, it sounds a bit disorientating seeing two different sizes.

I'm feeling pretty bleugh this week, reading a lot and sleeping. Supposed to be knitting but it's not happening!
  • It is so dark here in the morning, I get up at 6.15. Heating on for an hour too. Quite surprised the trees are still mostly green (Central Scotland). I hope we get an Indian Summer.

OH JULIETTET, NOT NICE HAVING TO GET UP IN THE DARK WHEN IT'S ONLY SEPTEMBER :(

Sorry for shouting, I had Caps Lock on! :o

I bought a pair of reading glasses this morning and they are good for the screen on my phone, and for reading the paper, but not for using the computer. So I'm wearing my old glasses, with one lens removed. i'm finding though that for around the house i get on better without glasses, letting the "new" eye do all the work :)

Excuse the short post; it's blooming hard work! Hopefully for only a couple of months.
  • Ivyleaf, just be extra careful on stairs and kerbs. I found them quite difficult to negotiate when only one eye had been done

Yep I agree with stairs, steps and kerbs. And dips in road. You may think you've manoeuvred it then realise you've fallen into it. Ask me how I know!

Having had a good think about your sight ivyleaf If you keep seeing different sizes I would call the eye clinic if it is still the same next week. It sounds very dangerous. I once got the wrong glasses from Boots they had made up someone elses prescription. I fell and they got broken because I could not see where the curb was. I was really annoyed with them because they charged me again for the correct glasses. They would not see that it was their fault I fell and broke them. I would not have fallen if I had had the right prescription.

It's dark here in the morning and we are having frost warnings!

Let's hope for an Indian Summer, my best pal and myself will be in Scotland at the end of the month!
  • Not as cold as your part of Canada Wondercollie. Frozen Prairies ? My sister lives in Ottawa, really cold winters too, but lovely summers. Where are you visiting in Scotland? Lovely here today and steady temps forecast.

Who knew how much carp could be housed in a loft??
Been trying to get ours sorted out; not easy as Mr Wolf is the only one who can get up there; we've turfed out loads, yesterday we turfed some stuff out of the kitchen and made room for some loft stuff we need to keep.

There will come a point when Mr Wolf can no longer get into the loft, so we're trying to get a bit ahead of ourselves against that time, as we don't have any younger rellies to ask for assistance.

It's blimmin' hard work though; I've banjaxed my knees, scratting about on the floor to put kilner/jam jars in the "inaccessible" bit of the corner cupboard. And I'm up to my knees in full boxes awaiting transport to the chazzer.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
