Not as cold as your part of Canada Wondercollie. Frozen Prairies ? My sister lives in Ottawa, really cold winters too, but lovely summers. Where are you visiting in
Scotland? Lovely here today and steady temps forecast.
We've been told to expect the first snowfall Wednesday night into Thursday! They are saying it won't last and should melt as it hits the ground. Not happy at all with that news.
We're flying in and out of Glasgow. Car has been rented. Pal is driving, she always steals the car keys from me, so this time I've decided not to put my name on the insurance as she won't let me drive!
She's never been to Edinburgh, so Castle visit for sure.
We've not made any firm plans, just drive and see what we want to see. We've only booked the first and last night's hotel. Really want to do B&Bs or smaller hotels.
Food list has been compiled. She insists Glasgow (her hometown) has better Fish and Chips than mine does. Tablet will be eaten as will Battenburgs and scones.
We're going to be a pair of 60'ish ladies doing what we want without husband and children telling us what to do or eat.
We travel somewhere every year and have had some great adventures.0 -
Have a fab time WONDERCOLLIE 😁"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

That sounds great, wondercollie
Have a good trip!
Kitten managed to get onto the worktop in the night (he couldn't manage it yesterday!) and found his way into the packet of Dreamies....he's a bit hyper now :eek:0 -
Ivyleaf You'll have to find a better hiding place or you will soon have a fat cat not a kitten.
Nice to see you again burtha & Squiggly Diddly.
Hope you have a wonderful Holiday wondercollie.0 -

I know, nursemaggie  DS has a couple of big IKEA plastic boxes he's not using atm, so he says we can use one of those. (for the food, not just for the Dreamies.)0 -
Ivyleaf - my little diva pesters us for her 'sweeties' aka Dreamies! She can be very vocal and knows exactly where they're kept! I have to limit her quota lolSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

LOL, AND I only bought the Dreamies in the first place because the nurse at the vet's said it often helped reconcile a nervous kitten to going into their carrierHe's going for first vaccinations and microchipping tomorrow, so I'd planned to buy some Feliway spray to spray the carrier beforehand but to my surprise they didn't have any! I ordered some and will collect it tomorrow. luckily the vet's is close enough that there isn't really time for the Feliway to take effect anyway
The practice has become part of the Medivet group since we lost our last cat, so we'll have to see what it's like now, but the vet who'll be seeing him has excellent reviews, so that's a great start0 -
Morning all - or is it art'noon?
Been AWOL for a bit - work, festival (Festival No. 6, it was fab - thanks for asking) and a conference on Gender issues in business which was also fab.
Have a looming deadline - so of course I am here :rotfl: DS is back to uni tomorrow so, typically, has left everything until the last day to get organised. I have sent him off to the shop armed with my debit card  (yes, I know, technically it's fraud...... as well as potentially dangerous..) have warned him i will check what cash he's drawn out. We are going out for a family "end of summer" curry tonight.
Glad mr and mrs LW are settling - and, burtha, take it easy. You know where we are.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
