Jazee, there is nothing as annoying as a clever clogs! Except a clever clogs who actually remembers that I wrote something diametrically opposed very, very recently,

Morning all! I'm so glad the humid weather down here in the SE is on its way out. it has felt airless at times.

Thank you nursemaggie - most of it dried and I finished the rest off on the airer overnight :) Trying the Anchor housing schemes sounds a good idea.

Moaning over the fence about DH if you're listening. So, his car is one of those keyless jobs with two sensor thingies. The sensor thingies have not been doing their thing as the batteries are wearing out. This has been going on for weeks. It is not easy to change the batteries so they have to go to the dealer, something I have been nagging him to do. Yesterday, he had real trouble getting the car to start so asked if I could take it to the dealer today for him.

So to today, and he has taken my car to work. When I went to get in his car - nothing - batteries obviously completely dead now. So I now have to take public transport for a forty mile journey, two buses cos we live in the sticks and use most of my day hoping to get it sorted for him. No wonder he's not returning my calls.

I'll catch you all later when I've finished the expedition.

  • Oh Jazee - I'm not surprised you want to vent or that he's avoiding your calls. Hope you manage to get it sorted

Me too Mar, or is it just because I know the cause now?

Monna I won't go for Anchor if they are as expensive as Onward, formally know as Contour. Hanover is probably cheaper than my present housing association because they do not tell you what the charge is for the sheltered services. Hanover is the one I have the forms for. I like that Anchor and Hanover are specialist in sheltered housing. They have facilities that are not there on the Council ones.

Jazee I hope your journey is not as bad as it sounds and you get it sorted today. I swear there are some men who really believe the fairies do all the work and they just don't have to do anything outside their job.

I'm back after 3 buses and then a taxi as I just couldn't be bothered to wait for the last bus back to the village when it doesn't always turn up anyway. Have also run yet another errand in DHs car as yes I did get the thingies sorted out.

Worn out now. Think I may cook pie tomorrow and just get takeout tonight.

Agree with that, Jazee think he should take you out for dinner.

No treatment yet for my PA. Letter from my Oncologist has still not arrived at my Doctors. As my oncologist knew that before I saw him I don't know why he could not have given me a prewritten letter for my GP.

Jazee I bet if the situation were reversed and he had been the one to catch buses, you would never have heard the last of it, and it would be thrown in your face every time you had a disagreement for the next twenty years or so. Men! Who invented them?
