Sorry I have been missing. This last week has been a busy week. I had my three monthly scan on Monday, no change. I have also had a lot to do. I went for my appointment at the Christie on Thursday. My husband also wants a divorce so there was that too. I have a lot of paper work to do.
My Dr at the Christie also thinks I will have to start having vitamin 12 injections so this could explain why going out for a few hours makes me so exhausted. Depending on how soon he contacts my GP I could be having them by the week after next. I hope I will begin to feel better after I get them.
I was going to post earlier today but DS came round and stayed until 8pm. He still never stops talking I did not get a word in.0 -
Nursemaggie, it took me about 2 or 3 months to feel better fully with b12, but after even the first injection I felt... almost a bit high. It was like a rush. I hope it works well for you. I can tell now when I'm due one, just by physical symptoms.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

Took a few months for the B12 injections to work for me but they seem to have it sorted now! (I have one every 8 weeks)Must use my stash up!0 -
Thanks softstuff I knew someone got them I think a couple of lurkers have them too. Mine will be because my tumour was so huge they had to take away a lot of my stomach, so he thinks I'm not producing enough of the intrinsic factor. I think it explains the feeling I can barely move because both brakes are fully on and I can't switch them off.
I am hoping my family will stop walking ahead of me and waiting impatiently for me. GDS is the only one who stays with me because he knows he will have to wait a long time to see me again. I'm also hoping to get rid of a lot of my nerve pain. I may even manage to get about and visit more places.0 -
Goodness nursemaggie, what a busy time you've been having! Good news about the B12 injections; I hope you find they make a big difference, and that you don't have to wait long.0

NM do hope you can get treatment soon and it improves your quality of life.
Busy few days. Last mammogram done on Friday - as im over 70 I had to ask for one. I just wanted closure as it's 10 years since BC op. Blimey thought I had Rosa Klebb doing it! Still over and done with now.
I had good news too yesterday too - letter from hospital with the heart monitor results - no evidence of attrial fibulation! Big relief.
Big freezer in the garage that I was going to give away as I'd bought a second hand frost free one decided to give up the ghost cue me trying to find homes quickly and then swap them over. All done now and the old one taken to the tip. It's amazing how much time it took to do it all.
Some sad news tonight - saw on local TV that the paraglider that was killed was a local IoW chap who taught DH to paraglide. He was very experienced tooSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Silvasaver I've had nurse Klebb on the mammogram up here too, shemust get around
NM the RV has pernicious anaemia has had B12 jabs for over 20 years. As he got older he had to have them more frequently and is now on 4 weekly. You will have loading doses every alternate day for a week then settle into the routine.0
