Man child will be heading off to Sheffield for four years to do a masters in biochemistry.
Grannies have been informed so now I can tell the world and his wife about his results. So proud - is that bad?
Can't stop beaming
Then reality hits.

It's lashing down here so we will be staying put for a few hours, if it dries up later we will move on.
My "best" was two packets of ready salted crisps and they wanted to charge me the £20 set meal price :eek::eek:Must use my stash up!0 -

You will, once he's gone, It is then you will see why your water, electricity, food bills have been so high.
It is hard when the youngest child leaves home, but once things settle down and you realise he is not going to set the place on fire frying an egg, you will get used to the freedom. And of course, when he visits home, you will have the fatted calf served up in all its glory. One life - your life - live it!0 -
