  • We are resting today, I'm on strike and I'm recovering from being burnt, bitten and stung and doing 6 locks in 5 hours, not many you may think but it's hot and I'm old! Wouldn't it be nice if I was hot and the weather was old.
CHS did treat me to a lovely pair of silver earrings, Tree of Life with semiprecious stones. The Fairy boat was moored near us & I like to support boat traders.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Glad to see you've got your removals sorted now Lyn. I would have got back to you sooner I've only just got back from a work trip and am trying to get ready for holiday... totally exhausted and am either unpacking, packing or trying to get the house/garden/paperwork ready for being away. We should have left yesterday but realistically it may well be tomorrow before we set off.

Aw greenbee :( ((HUGS)) I've been in the situation of being too tired to go on holiday, and it's not fun at all. (We did go on that occasion, as I simply couldn't get OH to take me seriously, but we ended up coming home early.)
  • Thank you GREENBEE we were in a bit of a downspin on Friday afternoon and whilst not exactly panicking were definitely 'edgy' but Saturday was a much more level day and we were able to sort things at 9 because one of the local removal firms surprisingly is open on Saturdays! rare as hens teeth but we're grateful the are!

Take a deep breath and stop travelling and then enjoy that holiday, you've earned it! xxx.

Just written a long post to get us back where we belong, on the front page.
    Blummin Dragon swallowed it.
    Let's try again.

Well, Nursemaggie, as for my whereabouts I stripped the furniture (cursing as predicted), prepped the weeks food, made a couple of kilos of pulled pork, did laundry, baked a cake, had a gym visit, made dinner and had the MIL round and went to see the latest mission impossible. I feel I did not waste my day. My body now aches somewhat and my hands look like a builders, but hey ho.

Have a lovely holiday Greenbee, I hope you enjoy it.

    The earrings sound lovely Hester.

Humphrey will be safe here, I'm crocheting another kale suit for him as we speak.

I like that thought for the day Monna, I might have to frame it.

Softstuff I can only imagine how long it takes to crochet kale suits for elephants and camels :D

Hester, I'm sending you a cool drink and an image of a footrest and palm leaf fan. I hope you're still resting! The earrings sound lovely.

Greenbee, I know that feeling of exhaustion. Safe travels when you do manage to leave.

Mrs LW, reading plans for your new house and allotment really excite me.

Softstuff that sounds like a very full and excellent day! I know the furniture will be worth it when it is finished.

I think today will consist of a run, maybe some blackberrying, maybe a walk into town to mooch around the charity shops and maybe some sewing. Yoga tonight so I think it will be a quick-ish tea of salmon and stir fry.

Hugs to all who need them.x
