MMF007 , ( what does that stand for? my bad mind can only conjure up something profane!) thank you, but no bowing, please. I'm just a common wee wummin who can draw a bit!
I now earn my living from my art skills (albeit part-time) and for that I am very grateful. It is a huge change from my former life as Nurse, then midwife.
My commission is actually for a charity, they give you the brief. I can pm you, as it may be identifiable in RL.

No moving on for us today, both the places are full, so we will stay here today, I will look on Monday and if there is room we will move then.

Ellie, I hope your back feels better soon,

NM I had trouble getting rid of stuff when we downsized on to the boat, BHF took some stuff but a lot of it was difficult to shift. I hired a professional declutterer for a couple of hours and she had pages of contacts.

I use oracle cards but not angel or Tarot.

I shall be cooking a full roast dinner today, despite the heat as CHS isn't keen on salad.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Morning all. I'm not commenting on the weather or the forecast, except to say that I have to keep reminding myself of all those times that I shivered and grumbled about how depressing the grey skies and endless rains were.
    Never satisfied, that's me.

softstuff, peanut butter chocolate fudge doesn't sound low carb to me. What it does sound is absolutely, irresistibly scrumptious. How you restrict yourself to one piece defeats me. You must have a will of iron.

Nothing of any interest happening here. We'll have to see how the day unfolds. I am feeling bright and positive, which makes a welcome change, so heat permitting (ooops, I forgot that is a forbidden subject ) I will do something productive.

Hope all pains feel a little easier today.

    THOUGHT FOR SUNDAY

Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and quiet spirit which is so precious to God. (1 Peter 3:4)
I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.

    Morning all,

Peanut butter fudge sounds delicious, I'd struggle with one lump too.

Menus and list done, so off to the shops shortly. We've been perusing More Veg by HFW (I can't spell his name) and have some new things to try. It is gray, damp and cool here, I wish I could send you some Monna. I may use the gray day to get some deep cleaning done, a good dust of the bookshelves etc.

I've never eaten tablet. I've seen recipes. The make my teeth ache and heart pound just reading them :D

Monnagran, I could also send you some grey and damp weather, how much would you like? :)
Back to sweaters and big socks here, and wondering what happened to the heatwave the TV keeps talking about!

Hoping for a visit from DS1 today, but he hasn't confirmed yet. (He could move the sofa and put the table back :))

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

I have to admit that my two younger children were miracle babies. After my first two I had three miscarriages, the last one the hospital Dr said I was not pregnant at all, by the time she admitted she was wrong I only just escaped with my life.

After a raft of tests it was discovered that when my older son was born there had been a tear to the neck of the womb which had not healed, which meant that when the baby reached a certain size the pressure made the neck open and the baby died. My consultant decided to use a shirodka suture, so the next time I became pregnant I was taken into hospital and the suture applied to the neck of the womb, it was cut and removed two weeks before my expected date and everything went to plan. I was given the two sutures and gave them to my youngest son and daughter when they were 21. This is one reason I feel my sons death so deeply, he was a much loved and wanted baby who was born thanks to a piece of plastic, as was his older sister.

This suture was invented and named after a obs and gynae consultant at Milton Keynes Hospital he is now a semi retired professor. - and is now used World Wide. With Results in lots of lovely new additions to families x LIKE ALL YOUR FAVOURITE UNCLES ROLLED INTO ONE X

Epic but need to off load sorry xxx

Why is it when one thing goes its like a rolling stone and ends up like a boulder?

Have had a power failure friday teatime - isolated by family to sockets so had some power - but that means no power for hubbys medical machines on battery standby! no landline telephone no internet no electric for any white goods (2 freezer full and one larder fridge)

Have home emergency electrical/gas/water insurance - As no landline had to call via mobile this cost 1st call £6.91 ! Explained situation said would be priority call out for electrician. Very few plugs in use as son daughter out so no internet.no fans. no tv as family visiting for a cuppa!
call centre kept saying they had no electrician in our area for us to find one and ask them to attend- i kept asking how - we have no internet to google as no sockets working vintage mobile! In desperation rang power grid they run test and confirmed it was internal to house not external . They could not attend - but googles 24 hour trade in our area gave 3 numbers.

1st could attend but on contacting ROW insurance call centre - trade would not accept sending ROW invoice for payment. Row call handler wanted me to continue contacting trades and then ring them to give permission! (really unimpressed I thought the idea is that they do this!!) So insisted passing 2 numbers to them.

While all this is going on hubbys medicall machines go into melt down ( like an excert from Peter Kay Mrs Tuna are you all right do you need medical help!) so now on battery back up

At 11pm call centre rings to say they have found electrician he will attend Saturday between 5-6 pm!! This is priority!!!

Mr Tuna has numerous night time wobbles they can last seconds to minute or so but seam like a life time. He is conducting with one hand(occasional clout to me if i get to near!)

Neighbour the best in World at 7 am run an extension from their house to mine so we could re start pain machine! (battery failed in the night).

day continues emptied and gave away thrown food photos taken of chest freezer!

Hubby starts talking to the faries! gave 111 call - rapid nurses attend these girls are so good - try to keep hubby out of hospital too many infections there- tests are border line for infection but not sure where! told to see walkin gp we would be prioritized urgent 4-6 hour wait on reception! we waited 3 hours - trying to keep someone with complex medical needs/history is a challenge!

While all this happens Electrician arrives! leave teenage son to deal (Elecky man brilliant) gets sockets up running but need to change main board as faulty- but needs Row to give go ahead!

Sunday morning 2 washes loads in Rapid response ring to say start anti b - the msu sample last night did not get sent to Lab! so unsure if on correct course! Repeat and take new sample t Gp monday!

Abandon chilling on here with cuppa - go to chemist to collect anti bs
Bring it on throw it my way xxxx

Thank you for reading just needed to off load xxxxx

Nothing untoward with the MMF007! It is just a combo of family members' initials and an easily remembered number, totally different than any other user names I use anywhere else, hastily thought up when I first joined MSE! You may have noticed that Softstuff claims to be better than 007, in her sig. I have wondered about that! Shall we ask her?!

We, too, are fog-boud. I imagine the plants are loving the feeling of cool water on their leaves :D

I have a low carb recipe for courgette bake that I shall prep shortly. Involves plenty of veg, garlic, eggs, soya flour and a bit of bacon. Takes a bit of grating (NOT using a mandolin, poor Ellie!), a bit of chopping and really you just chuck all ingredients in an oven dish and let it cook. It's foolproof, thank goodness :rotfl:

After the fun of cooking I shall return to the room of doom to finish the tidying. In reality we just have too much stuff for our little house. Nothing in excess, and if we had a 3 bed semi it would look bare, but it is too much for a tiny 2-up, 2-down. Trouble is it all sparks joy (see Kon Marie tnread!). Oh, there is one thing that would help...... when i shift the next 2 stone and can get rid of some clothes!! Better get on with that, too :j
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

I'll suss it Mar and HH, no worries. I have an overwhelming need to channel my spiritual side and connect with with nature in equal measures. I think that's a bit contradictory really, added to the fact I'm undergoing another course of CBT, I think we can say I'm not really coping and searching for help. Ho-hum.

Second pumpkin plumping, 3spaghetti squashes forming and rampant growth on all other squashes except butternut. Borlotti beans forming and finally, finally my French beans are climbing. Worried about them being too late though. Brassica beds are healthy, maincrop tatos are coming out tomorrow winter brassicas are going in their place. My most proud moment is that the celeriac are plumping. I shouldn't be proud as they suffered in the great greenhouse sabotage and Thompson & Morgan actually raised them, but we have celeriac soup for Christmas Day starter and I had my heart set on harvesting my own. It looks lie I might can use the leeks too as they're putting on weight now. I have had my plot a year and a week and while I still have things to do I am incredibly gee'd up by how successful I have been given the very cold, non existant spring and then straight into very hot dry conditions. I have spent the past year coping with the 'you can't do that, that won't work, you need a tunnel, nothing grows on the open ground here, you won't stand a chance against pests here without protection, its too windy, it's too exposed, you need a hose, your soil is too clayey (it's actually silt shipped in years go from a riverbed) all that, and much more. My first year of allotmenteering has been stressful, annoying and confidence wobbling but I did it, I'm doing it and proving to a certain person that I can and I did.

It's time to let all that nonsense go and dare to hope that I can now calm myself and enjoy the next year.

Still no chance of a shower for me, CHS is doing important boaty things with a drill and bits of wire, I'm needed to pass the tools, get shouted at if it all goes wrong and give him a round of applause if it all goes right.

Fuds, not contradictory at all, spirit and nature are very close.
