Are you talking mentally , physically or mood wise NM ? It's a pity you don't have a little peaceful outdoor space . Are you ready for your visiters or doing last minute prep ?

I'm stuck with the things I need to get rid of. No one wants them. I can't move them my self they are taking up space I need and right now I feel like I can't even lift a piece of paper. I have been feeling so much better I did not get myself a cleaner. I really need one right now.

It's entirely physical. I will try to do what I can in the next couple of days. I may even have to put a lot of boxes back in my bedroom. I have three boxes of hats and gloves I can put in another box. The are for the hospice fundraising.

Decided to spring clean my living room today, I know it's July but I'm good at procrastinating :)

Was going well until I put my back out moving the coffee table, should have been more careful. So half done, and the rest of the day spent moving VERY carefully. Now sitting with a heat pad on it. It's not like I feel like cleaning very often, so frustrating!

NM Many of the charities will pick up donations so the hospice shop might . Finances permitting it may be worth contacting a Registered rubbish remover to clear the rest . As you worked for the council you'll know why I said Registered . Can you enlist your son to lift and shift stuff depending on his day off ? I assume your dd and gs will be staying with you in the flat so you're trying to make sleeping space .

You should not be moving or lifting anything so if you can pay to get rid of the rest . It's like a weight on your shoulders and the space is needed for your own wellbeing and to make moving around easier .

No sign of any more properties yet ? I think if both you and monna could be in suitable housing soon we'd all feel much better for you both .

Ouch Ellie. I hope a good sleep will aid healing.

What a day. I've been to a christening. I wore heels. Talk about Bambi in stilts. It was my Dad's side of the family. I was so nervous and that wasn't helped by the fact I'm socially skew whiff anyway. But I got through it and home exhausted.

Are there any angel card readers amongst us? I'm dabbling but I'm struggling to connect. I often get the card phuel and know that I'm to light a candle, which I have done, but now I don't know how else to use it to help me progress. Any help would be fab.

Sorry you hurt yourself ellie I hope it is one that gets better the next day.

I have tried all the charities no one wants the bookcases. I'm putting as much as I can in boxes, of things that are in there because they are sort of used seasonally.

I think it will be a rare thing if any sheltered housing comes up before the winter. I keep going through my mind wondering if I should stay. It's a nice area, We are on the edge of Heaton. It's not far to town. If I go through the park I can walk it on a good day. It's really nice park. It's actually easier to walk to DS's flat than going on the bus. I have Mr M only 5 mins walk away. The doctors in just round the corner. It would be nice to have neighbours I can talk to though.

I have a phone number of a man who will take them to a tip. His day for doing that is Wednesday. Just a day too late. I'll get as much as I can moved by Tuesday. If I decide to stay I may keep the big book case. It has glass doors and I could use it as a display case. It has glass doors. I also thought of turning the spare room into a dining room.

Missed your post Ellie hope the back feels better soon . Well done Fuds on the wedding and the heels ! Your life is coming together so nicely now .
Mar may be the best person to ask about angel cards .

If nothing else NM ask your son to give you a hand lifting and shifting for now . I didn't realise you had a nice area near . I've started shopping in Morries more often . The range is so good now and they impressed me with wonky veg and paper rather than plastic bags .

Well I'm about to watch Casualty 30 plus years and counting !

Heels fuddle! Good on you making the effort!
I used to wear proper high heels all day when I was younger, what happened? Now I dread any occasion that requires them, they make my back ache and I feel very unstable :)

Don't know much about angel cards, but this site was interesting

Ladies, you are all so lovely.
Nurse Maggie, I remember doing my own nursing then midwifery training and being both humbled and amazed that any pregnancy actually made it, there was so much that could go wrong.
I have only popped in briefly, I am painting a commission and must wait for a layer to dry before doing the next bit ( it's very detailed and footery, but I need to do it justice )
I think that next week I will need to plan a 'Bero' day! I think scones, fruit, plain and treacle, plus a date and walnut loaf and maybe a wee Victoria sponge :-)
Dear fellow Scot Mardatha, I used to make sweeties every week when I was a teenager. I rarely make anything like that now.
Onwards and upwards, ladies of the Fence!
    Linda x

Polly is correct, I have been learning some basics of painting but am pretty bad most of the time!. I have 3 pieces that are not too embarassing and I actually like them. The rest vary from what we may politely call 'naive' to the down right rubbish.
HOWEVER, I love colour and I have improved since I took 10 classes last year. I am happy to keep trying because 18 months ago I could not have produced anything even half decent. I have done next to no painting this summer because I have spent so much time outside in the sunshine and I can't paint 'en plein air'!!

I am bowing down to you, Linda, painting a commission piece :T
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

It's a wonder Mar's not asking where you are Jazee. She likes all sorts of sweets.

No need, Mardatha has an internal radar for sweeties. :D

It's good that you can't, at least this way you can get through doorways! :p

I made a low carb peanut butter chocolate fudge yesterday. I'm presently demonstrating more willpower than ever, since I only had 1 little lump.

Nursemaggie, do you use facebook? I've found more success giving things away on the marketplace there than other methods.
