Evening all
I've had one h e l l of a day with my Dad. I'm still angry with him ( see Daily thread for details ) but I wanted to ask if people are requesting Llamas and Woozles, please could I put in a request for a unicorn, a pink or pale blue one with a multicoloured horn with sparkles, pretty please. I know it's a big ask but you are known on here to be kind and generous....... aren't you
?
Monna good news re your DB.
Fuddle what a good post. I'm glad that his awful reputation is well known. You seem to have a lovely friend too.
Sorry I'm waffling, I really don't know whether I'm coming or going today, so I shall send anyone who is having a tough time many hugs.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Now you're talking....woozles and unicorns.....BRING IT ON!!! I wish to state however on behalf of Humphrey that the use of the word CATERING in conjunction to the words mini camel are going to give the poor boy very sleepless nights for quite some time to come and I can see him looking rather anxiously round the corner of the fence post he's standing beside, what a cruel thing to do to a clean living camel, shame on you Monna!!! as for Islandmaid mentioning burgers and sliders...have you no shame?0

nannyw, my goodness, your Dad is one handful isn't he. He reminds me a bit of my SILs mother. She was a professional martyr and everyone apart from her family thought she was a wonderful old lady. I think my SIL got through by thinking of her, not as her mother, but as a very tiresome old bat who had to be looked after like a child. My DB got through by gritting his teeth and punching the wall.
You have enough to put up with without having your Dad treat you like a slave.
Feel free to come on here and unload whenever you like. That is what this thread is for and we all bend each other's ear from time to time. We will cry with you and some times we'll have you crying with laughter. Both ways it's healing.
Have just come off the phone with DB. He is sounding much stronger today. SIL has gone to sing with the choir she belongs to so my niece is there babysitting her father, which they both seem to find very amusing.
I hardly dare say it, but I think it is a tad cooler tonight.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Well, now we are to have a hosepipe ban in a few weeks, I think Our Humph should toddle to the northerly end of the fence...to the most water-deprived bit where he'll feel right at home
Monna I love it when grown-up children have to babysit sick parents - swings & roundabouts :rotfl:
Nanny have a dodgy hug honey, I think you & Mr Fixit deserve it :grouphug:
Fuddle see, its definitely not you & yours that are the problem...and was pleased to read that you had witnesses waiting to support if necessary.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

NannyW I feel for you, as much as I love MIL, she can be tiring with her demands x
Monna Glad you are catching up with DB, nice that SIL has got a 'break' from the recent strains x
Very sad tonight, my Aunty passed away earlier, my Dads last Direct relative exempting DB and I - she help my brother and I so much when our parents divorced, then our father emigrated very soon after. I was 8, my brother, 4 - the smiles and hugs we needed, even though we weren't really old enough to understand what was going on at the time.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Humphrey will be really glad to come to your end Floss if you can guarantee that no up there eats camels!
ISLANDMAID I'm so sorry for your loss, the last link in a family generation is a sadness, bless you xxx.0 -
Islandmaid, so sorry for your loss.
Monna, glad your brother is making good progress.
Much cooler here today, in fact I actually put a long sleeved shirt on as I was feeling a little chilly.
Continuing on from the broken freezer, DS was making microwave popcorn last night. DD asked what the awful smell was and we discovered that the inside of the microwave door was melting  . Please tell me the car oil leak counts towards the three things.
Last Friday OH decided he would trim the bushes round the house. They seem to be growing well despite the lack of rain. Much searching of the garage resulted in locating the cordless hedge trimmer - minus it's battery, obviously. Loads more carp has gone to the tip and useful stuff to the CS. Battery was finally located in the plastic outdoor store, which acts as the garage annex. Funny how these half hour jobs end up taking three or four days isn't it?
In other news, the cupboard bugs seem to be gone :T.
Hugs to all who need them.
