Aaah. Doesn't seem that odd at all to me, but I wonder what that says about me
I would have been tempted with the quartz penis, but likely would have been stopped by my husband. He's still a bit dubious of the antique brass denture mould I picked up.
If you like snakeskins, I *may* be able to oblige you with a few more?
The snakeskins belonged to Jake, Fang and Nomad, who were my pets - corn snake, yellow rat snake, and Taiwanese beauty snake respectively. I also still have a tooth that belonged to Penny-Dog.camelot1001 wrote: »Glad you survived yesterday Minna, momma, monna (sorry, I'm on the phone) and made loadsa money. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
By heck but it’s hot here, just been outside to bring a load of washing in and could feel the sun burning the back of my legs. The house isn’t too bad with curtains closed on the sunny side, there is a breeze but even that is hot!
Lunch eaten and enjoyed so now time for a snooze, Capt S wants to watch the footie later so best catch a few zzzz’s before the fun begins.0 -
Afternoon all
This morning I decided to paint the living room windowsill. That's not quite as simple as it sounds. It's a very big window for starters and the blinds were filthy as the cats do a kind of Mexican wave thing through them when the blinds are open. So....the blinds came down and went in soak in the bath (vertical blinds so up and down the ladder a few times). Next I wiped all the window frame down and cleaned the windows. Finally I painted the sill but once I have an open tin of paint in my hands....
I had to stay downstairs anyway to guard the wet paint on the window sill from the cats so I painted all the doors down here too. I was fed up of wiping them and them not looking any cleaner so I guess it was time that they had a lick of paint. Now I've done the doors I want to do the walls, sigh. I bought quick drying paint so I wouldn't have to stay on cat watch duty for too long so the paint is now dry and the blinds are back up.
The washing that was drying on the line whilst I was painting now needs ironing (well some of it does) so that's the next job after this tea break. The back garden needs weeding but that may well be a job for tomorrow. I've been surprised to get so many raspberries off canes that were only planted in the spring and my courgettes, despite being planted in the flower beds next to roses and other flowers are doing well too. I've even had a few ripe tomatoes this week.
Take care all of you, I'm off to carry on with my jobs0 -
This morning after we'd been for our Sunday morning coffee at the garden centre we drove to the local farm shop where for the princely sum of £8.52 I got 8 large Morocco oranges, 4 pink grapefruit, 6 Braeburn apples, 2 gigantic jacketing spuds (one will serve both of us), a large cauliflower, a large Spanish onion, a big iceberg lettuce and a bag of new carrots. Much better value and much better produce than pre-packed from the supermarket. We've just had an orange each and they are so sweet and juicy, delicious!
I read a little piece in the paper this morning that said research has shown that eating an orange every day may help guard against MACULAR DEGENERATION. Whether it does or doesn't, an orange a day if it's as lovely as these are will be very nice indeed.0 -
Only 19 up here, very breezy and great for washing. I love how monna has turned into Monicaminniemomma. I feel all plain now.0

It is 'OT (that is very hot) BLOOMIN 'OT.
Have spent a fun morning, playing a game of give the cats their flea drops  several lacerations later, all 4 cats done for now :j
Long and slow cooked 40 cloves of garlic chicken for dinner and HM walnut bread for DH, salad for both.
Flipping work tomorrow - flipping hate Sunday nights - work interrupts those last few hours of the weekend, just a little (not too tiny) lottery win would sort these shenanigans, I am not greedy, don't want multimillions, just enough so we can work when we want toNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

It's hot here too and getting humid as the afternoon wears on, we've had gulls wheeling round over the village so I think we must have had a hatch of flying ants but I've not seen them in the garden. Have been packing boxes again and taking things from the kitchen cupboards that are only used once in a while but are too useful when we need them to discard before we move. Cupboards and drawers are slowly emptying and my home is shrinking but we can't do much more as we don't have a moving date set yet. Life will be so much more bearable when this heat goes away won't it?0

You might feel plain but I bet when you are asked to "Sign here," you can actually do it.
Try getting that lot on one of those titchy lines.
Did you hear of the bloke who was so thick that when he was asked to, "Sign here," wrote, "Scorpio."I believe that friends are quiet angels

We had family here this weekend (my stepson, wife and two boys) and today went to a lovely beach about 25 minutes drive away. After a while paddling and watching our dog charge in and out of the water OH wanted to go home as he was finding the heat tiring. He, I and dog trudged our way back to the car, the others were in the sea whilst our son sat on the sands minding their stuff. They eventually came back some time later and I prepared a salad dinner for us all. Our guests are on their way back home now, having had a lovely weekend with us. I have training days tomorrow and Tuesday, so will strip the spare beds and sort out washing etc Wednesday whilst OH is at the hospital. He has his first chemo then, and will spend all afternoon at the chemo unit because he is getting three different drugs all given separately. One drug is the one that he had a nasty reaction to the other week, but at least they will be on lookout for any problems this time.
No point in making meal plans at the moment because I don't know how the chemo will affect him - it will be a case of something quick and easy, depending on what he fancies at the time. Like everything else, it's a case of go with the flow.
I had a lovely day out visiting my daughter on Thursday and seeing the new house she and her partner bought in the spring. Doesn't seem possible, my first baby is now a homeowner - and my second will be 20 on Wednesday so must get him a nice cake or something. Gone are the days when I catered for massive birthday parties, thank goodness. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Don't like to make you all jealous but it has rained here most of the day, I swear the grass, trees, flowers all look a brighter colour already.0
